Dominion broke my mouse

This is probably the most ridiculous counting puzzle of them all.
Do stuff on your turn. Buy 1 card. How many clicks on isotropic can you take during the buy phase?
Rearranging and clicking checkboxes don't count, but clicking done does. End turn also doesn't count.
You may not reveal trader when gaining a silver.

9 Talismans and 10 Hagglers, buy Border Village (gaining 9 more Border Villages) after 2x Highway with Duchess in the kingdom. Have Trader in hand and Watchtower in hand or Royal Seal in play... and probably more.

^A lot more if you individually click each treasure. And throw in some HoP/mandarin/venture shenanigans to play the same HoP several times...

I'm referring to the on buy effect of one card. Playing treasures doesn't count.

Really annoying is Goons+Talismans: "Do you want another copy of the card first or the VP first?" "For the 5th time - I DON'T CARE!!! JESUS!!!"

How about if Grand Market is in play and you've got $6 plus a hand full o'Coppers?

DrHades: That's what led to this puzzle :P
Chwhite: Do you mean how you have to click Grand Market twice? I guess that's permissible but GM isn't correct-no haggling BV's for one.

No, I'm just saying that if GM is out you'd have to click on all the Coppers individually no matter what.  So adding GM to the Supply could increase the total number of clicks required to play all your treasure.

Actually after you click the first one you can then hit the +$ button to play the rest.

I mean for the puzzle to not count any clicks for playing actions or treasures. This is purely after you click buy on some card, and before you click buy on another card. I'm pretty sure my last statement wasn't ambiguous, but to be clear, it's in reference to one "on-buy" and all the subsequent "on-gains" associated with it.

of course if you wanted you could count the maximum click-length of one turn, but that just seems painful.

In play: 10x Goons, 10x Haggler, 10x Hoard
In hand: Trader, Watchtower
So for every card I gain, I'm asked -> replace by silver? -> reveal watchtower -> top-deck or trash?

Buy province
-get 10 VP
-gain 10 Gold
-gain 10 BV

For the first 8 BV
gain Duchy -> Duchess
then
gain Inn -> shuffle action cards
gain Mandarin -> put treasure back

click count
  4 buy of province
40 gain of gold
  9 get vp
50 gain of BV
32 gain of duchy
32 gain of duchess
 5 Inn
 5 Mandarin

I just realized a better solution
In play: 10x Talisman,10x Haggler,10x Goons,1x Quarry

Buy Cache
-> gain 9 more
-> gain 20 copper
-> gain 10 cards costing less
-> get 10 VP

-> gain 10 BV -> gain 10 Inns

click count
40 cache
80 copper
50 BV
50 Inn
  9 VP

Quarry doesn't reduce Cache's value, If you used Highway though, buying border village to gain Inns and Caches work best I think.  What about embargo tokens and watchtower/trader?

Yeah, I forgotten one HW in play. Quarry was necessary, so that BV is cheaper than Cache, but obviously it is better to gain BV into Cache than the other way around.
Trader & Watchtower were included.

I didn't think of embargo! I think the maximum possible is 30infinite embargo tokens on BV giving another 150 clicks.
I realized that in multiplayer, you could possession embargo for infinite tokens, then you are limited by the amount of silver and curses in the supply.

Further things I didn't consider. When I replace a card with a silver with trader, I get an additional click, because I am asked about the trader again.

New solution:
setup: 50 embargo tokens on BV
in play: 2*HW, 10*talisman, 10*haggler, 10*goons
in hand: watchtower, trader

buy BV
-> gain 9 more
-> gain 20 cards costing less
-> get 10 VP
-> gain 50 curses

for the cards costing less I gain cache and duchy,duchess and then inn, mandarin

click count
  50 BV
    9 VP
  50 Cache
  60 Copper
  40 Duchy
  32 Duchess
    5 Inn
    5 Mandarin
160 Silver (40 Silver as replacement for curses)
  30 Curses
------
436

edit: did not count correctly

The other puzzle somewhat improves on my answer; I was thinking of Province as the bought card. Possession also allows for a weird trick, in which if you're buying while possessing someone, you can reveal your own Fool's Gold, and you have to click through those yourself. But Cache/Duchy is much better than Fool's Gold (man, try saying that in the strategy forum).
