What's yours?

Mine happens to be...French fries. Like, any and all variations and preparations, along with their toppings and sauces.

I love hushpuppies, but living in Minnesota doesn't afford a lot of opportunities to eat them. Probably that's for the best; if I had them every week, I'd probably be sick of them.

Fried chicken, Thai peanut sauce (On most dishes), chocolate chip cookies, roasted brussels sprouts, spaghetti and meatballs, boba tea (is it food if it contains solid objects? Going with yes), bell peppers with beef/steak, catfish/most generic fish in general, kalbi, paneer makhani, halloumi, sweet potato pie... Man I can't choose just one.

Speaking of favorite foods. My wife recently became vegan. I am most of the time. It is hard to give up some of these foods...

Rice and pyhäinpäivänpata (a stew with typical Karelian stew meat, cremini, juniper berries and dried plums; usually eaten on the Finnish All Saints' Day, although the food might not be a very widespread tradition even in Finland given that I couldn't find a recipe for it online).

I also generally like anything spicy, but while I can easily handle anything white people spicy, I have unfortunately not had many chances to try foods that are considered particularly spicy in cultures where food tends to be spicier in general.

They are to France as maple syrup is to the US. Or haggis to England. Or... lutefisk to Denmark ? You get the idea.

Blaming Jefferson is always a safe bet. That wikipedia page also has this :

I think "fondue" is how you guys refer to a fondue savoyarde, the one with bread and cheese. Well, replace the cheese with oil (the food kind), and the bread with beef (generally Charolais). Add some Béchamel (and other similar stuff too, but mostly Béchamel) et voilà, you've got the best thing ever.

Oh, and you can have "French" fries on the side. And some vegetables (green beans with onions typically in my family) too, because you know.

When people were talking about fondue and how it was cheese and stuff, I didn't really get it. To me it's where you dip meat in broth.
