If you place a +1 buy, +1 action extra token on a duration card do you get that bonus both hand you play the card in?

You get the bonus when you play the card.  On subsequent turns, you're not playing the Duration card again; it's just been left in play to track effects.  So, you only get the bonus from the token on the turn you actually put that orange card into play.  So... maybe don't put those tokens on Hireling.

+1 action can be great on Hireling if you're using Teacher to do it, and it's as a response to having drawn a hand of multiple Hirelings and another Terminal.
