Maybe try this subbing Loatheb for Acidmaw. (We should maybe move this convo to Constructed.)

Not bad.  Maybe Sylvanas as a sub option?

That would probably be good too. Sylvanas and Loatheb are both pretty solid. I think Acidmaw sucks, but the rest of the deck seems like it could be okay.

Zalae is playing Acidmaw Dreadscale in Midrange.  I'd probably play it in any Hunter if I had it: it's a massive swing if you draw it at the right time against aggro.

How does that work? It's really hard to play a 7-drop before the game is over against aggro.

Technically Acidmaw has more immediate board impact than boom and thus should be easier to get out before it's too late to be playing things, since existing minions on the board can trade up where they were unable to before.

I'm still certain it's anecdotal and that Acidmaw is a bad card.  It's just.  There's no way.

I think qmech is thinking of Dreadscale. Acidmaw is good against big minions, not small ones.

Yep, Dreadscale.  The Acidmaw in the first post of this thread threw me.  :-[

I'm going to test a modified version as mentioned there.  It's currently:

2x Hunter's Mark
Bear Trap
2x Freezing
2x King's Elekk
2x Wild Pyro
2x Eaglehorn Bow
2x Animal Companion
1x Deadly Shot
2x UtH
Dreadscale
2x Houndmaster
2x Piloted Shredder
1x Antique Healbot
2x Azure Drake
2x Sludge Belcher
2x Savannah Highmane
Slyvanas
Dr. Boom

I dropped both Flares (seem like tech cards I don't need for testing) for one Bear Trap (not the strongest, but it's unexpected so people play around it like it's freezing/explosive and gives me a taunt beast) and one Healbot.  I added Slyvanas for the Acidmaw I don't have.

Doomguard is big, so I tried to stick with believing qmech is perfect and never says the wrong word.

Yeah I totally think Dreadscale can be good in midrange hunter.  Maybe even face.

Dreadscale + Acidmaw is a broad clear, basically.
