Have you tried building something like Token Druid? The idea is to combine sticky minions (Haunted Creeper, Echoing Ooze, Harvest Golem, Piloted Shredder, etc.) with Power of the Wild/Savage Roar to either get a big board or push for lots of damage. It tends to be both cheap and not too difficult to play.

You have 2x Violet Teacher, 2x Keeper, 1x Force of Nature, which is most of the important stuff. You don't have Ancient of Lore, but that's not the end of the world, Azure Drake is an okay substitute. I'd look up a decklist and make substitutions as needed.

Completely unfair comparison.

Hearthstone is a fun game and you can have more fun playing the classes you prefer.  It's like WOW -- play the classes you like.

Your face hunter is pretty there.  It hardly hurts to be missing the second bow.  Having a Glaivezooka would be nice, but you can do fine without, and it's been hard to find stuff with 2 HP to hit lately anyway.

Haunted Creeper kind of wants Glaivezooka's help, and Knife Juggler kind of wants Haunted Creeper's help, so I left some of that out of my suggested build.  I have always been much more of a naysayer about Knife Juggler in facehunter than most people though so the mainstream ilne of thought would probably say to run those guys anyway.

Replacing Glaivezooka with an old school Loot Hoarder will let you keep more burn in your hand, allowing you to reach past Sludge Belchers and Noble Sacrifices better than other facehunters.

No.  It's not like WoW.  WoW is not a zero sum game, the way most people play it.  Huge social components, raids where everyone wins and the environment loses, and a wealth-building pursuit bring the game closer to Minecraft on the spectrum.

Dominion is another zero sum game.  So playing a garbage strategy you like can be objectively measured for failure.  Playing Rogue before you unlock Preparations or Shaman when you have a full collection can likewise be objectively measured for failure.  If someone wants to deliberately fail in that way because they have a strong preference for the poor strategy, then nothing's stopping them from going for it, but it doesn't seem helpful or productive to ask about those harmful preferences or try to encourage them.

Well, eventually I'd like to have enough decks to eek out quests (for example, right now I can complete 2 quests of my 3 with either rogue or warrior, with the 3rd being iirc druid or paladin (or the other of rogue/warrior). I prefer aggro-y things (in Hearthstone), so I'm definitely going to try that face hunter build out. I think ultimately I need to get at least good enough at... 5 classes? to be able to complete all my quests.

If it's a high tier arena class, arena questing can be a really efficient answer.

Zoo.  It's sometimes nice to have at least one charge minion in decks like this so that you can use Power Overwhelming and Abusive Seargent for damage on an empty board if you need to, but you don't have the Arcane Golem or Leeroy that would be preferred for that, so it seems like the perfect place to experiment with Stonetusk Boar tech since he is gaining a little favor for the way he can defray turn 6 Challenger.

There's a really good Ancestral Spirit deck in there since you have Injured Blademaster and Piloted Shredder.  I'm sure I'll get the curve wrong if I don't play test it though :/

Hmm.  I like the Boar idea, but my first instinct to tech against secret-Pally would be to run a second Ironbeak, assuming that chairs has two in the collection.  (Sorry I didn't look properly)

I probably agree with you.  But specifically against secrets pally I stand by ironbeak owl; if you're running into lots of them I reckon it's not a terrible tech choice.

It looks like you could also put together a pretty decent Control Warrior.

I don't really understand how to play Control Warrior :(

What you should keep in mind is that patron is very hard to play correctly. When to go for it and when to hold on depends heavily on the matchup and other things and calculating the exact dammage of a combo is sometimes almost impossible with patrons spawning and dieing with each whirlwind effect.

That being said, if you play it corectly it is probably the strongest deck in the format right now.

That looks like quite an old Patron list.  I'll try and reconstruct mine from memory:

2x Inner Rage

2x Whirlwind
2x Execute

2x Battle Rage
2x Armorsmith
2x Slam
2x Unstable Ghoul
1x Fiery War Axe

2x Frothing Berserker
2x Acolyte of Pain
2x Shield Block
2x Warsong Commander

2x Death's Bite
2x Gnomish Inventor

2x Grim Patron

1x Emperor Thaurissan

This is the combo deck of combo decks.  Your goals are either to flood the board with Patrons (T5 Patron+Inner Rage+Death's Bite's deathrattle demands a clear) or to not die, draw lots of cards and kill your opponent with an obscene Warsong Commander/Frothing Berserker/whirlwind effect combo.  It's not an easy deck to play, and some players think it has too much effect on the meta, but it's great fun when it all comes together.
