I am planning to run a simple RMM some time soon, just 2 factions and no super-crazy roles. It will be cancer-themed, because we all know how much fun that is. If there's someone else planning to do an RMM soon, please go first. I just thought it would be nice to have another RMM, we're rather light on games these days.

I am getting back to the RMM I created and it will be ready to open soon too. Is there a problem with running two at once?

The only problem is getting them to fill, but if they fill, there should be no problems

I feel like as long as a normal game doesn’t get opened as well I think two rmm’s are fine. We seems to be in a lul for standard game mode and interest, so I think a couple rmm’s would be fun.

It looks potentially gamey. Like, I'd think that without coordination the roles won't do much, but if you coordinate everyone to target the same player N1 and then lynch that player you get a decent chunk of info.

I am planning to open a normal game soon as a faust9++ (example game here.)

For flavor, I have two minds.

1) f.ds mafia players mafia: so everyone will get another mafia player as their flavorname. I'll choose players based on who I think fits the role or maybe if you did a really good job as a particular role in some game then you would be that role in this game. And it would be open to discussion as to what players go with what roles. EG: you could say in the comments before the game starts, like "Roadrunner7671 should totally be the restless spirit if we roll a restless spirit this game" or like "pingpongsam should be a scum."

I really like this idea but I see two reasons not to do it: a) people may feel uncomfortable about it. b) it may be more fun to do later as a full blown RMM instead.

2) Cities vs. towns of the U.S. west coast mafia: The mafia players are basically going to be like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or maybe Los Angeles and then the town players are going to be happy little towns like Klamath Falls, Oregon or Chico, California. Mafia will get town fakeclaims obviously. And the flavor would be about the cities expanding and swallowing up the towns until nothing is left.

If someone wants a particular normal setup to be run instead of faust9++, let me know. And vote for the flavor you want to see happen next!

also faust9++ is vewy scumsided

in the baseline 9v3 town has to be right more than half of the time which is Tough (the random chance game of vanilla 8v3 +innocent is 16.9%; most games that people consider playable like to be in the low 30s)

i think 1-shot governor has very little utility and takes up 2 rolls (you usually.... want to lynch who you're lynching; no lynch/wait for kill will still be the thing to do in mylo so you can't catch quickhammers with it)

bodyguard, 1-shot commuter, 1-night PGO i think are also all pretty weak. i can elaborate if u need me to. i think it's fine that pgo is weak because it's funny but there are a lot of roles that i don't think help town very much in a setup where Town Needs Help

note that c9++ and jk9++ both have only 2 scum with 5 or 6 T rolls
