"The vodka is good, but the meat is rotten."
I will now explain the joke to make it funnier.
There is an apocryphal story—which I first heard from my father many years ago—about the first ever Russain-English translation computer program. The story goes that, after it was completed, the first test phrase they entered was,
"The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." After the program translated it from English to Russian and then back to English, the output was, "The liquor is good, but the meat is spoiled."
That seems to be more or less what has happened with this promo. The original English word has more than one meaning, and the German translators apparently decided to go with the wrong meaning, and then chose a similar word that, as near as I can determine, has a completely different connotation than even that wrong meaning. "Invitation" actually matches the effect of the Event pretty well, but it sure won't match the art.
