my apologies for the delay. I was insaneley busy Thursday night and was traveling friday-sunday and when went to update last night f.ds was down (or I wasn't able to get to it). Should be able to update tonight

ok, I tried again to update last night and couldn't access f.ds on any of my devices, over my wifi or data. Anybody else have this issue?

I think it's because of Empires previews, f.ds probably isn't used to handling all the traffic

Let's finally get to today's challenge.

As many of you may have guessed, it's time for a survivor tradition: The Survivor Auction.

How this is going to work: you guys each get $2000. This is AHoprobst bucks, not USD or whatever currency you wish it was. It's only good here, during this challenge. So may as well spend it. I will be showing you guys a series of items, some covered so you won't know what they are, some not. But they will all help you out in the game. Post bids in here in increments of $100. Highest bidder 24 hours after the item is revealed wins the item. It's that simple.

And here's your first item:

Hmm, I tried to post this earlier but apparently I suck at hitting send. Anyways! I have a few rules clarifications:

Is proxy bidding allowed? This deadline will be at 5am for me/us, not a very convenient time for the european half still left in the game. Is this just bad luck, or can we submit conditional orders?
Is pooling money allowed?
Is sharing food allowed?
What would happen in the case of a tied bid?

I'm fine with conditional orders, but only if you've already bid once on the item. You can bid and then in your confessional say like "I'm ling to go up to X on this item " and I'll try to automatically update that. No pooling or sharing. Ties go to the one who had their bid in first. However, please don't give a conditional order unless you know you can't be around, much less headache that way. I'll let bidding on this go till our European friends say "pass" or bid because I know this is not a good time for them
