Ran into this yesterday.

When you buy a card and immediately place your hand on deck, are you able to reveal a watchtower in your hand prior to placing it on your deck to gain the new card on top?

It was particularly relevant since we also had Death Cart and would have wanted to reveal the watchtower to trash the ruins as well.

We ruled you cannot, since gaining (the trigger for watchtower) happens after buying ( the trigger for haunted woods) and so by the time you've gained the cards, the watchtower is no longer in your hand.
