Esperanto? In games?

No idea if anyone else on here is interested at all in Esperanto, but anyone know if there are any Esperanto translations of board games? I was thinking the other day about translating Dominion into Esperanto, and I wonder if there's even actually a market for that sort of thing.

If there is a market, it's probably so tiny as to be inconsequential Ruined.  It requires a group of people interested in playing Dominion who all know Esperanto and prefer it over one of the multiple languages in which Dominion is published.

What's esperanto? An artificial language I'm guessing?

Yep.  Created by a Polish eye doctor to facilitate world peace.  It's moderately popular - optimistic estimates are at a million or so speakers globally.

It's been one of my life goals to learn Esperanto. I don't know a single word. I'll start learning it tomorrow.

I speak esperanto fluently, and use it almost every day, with friends from different countries I visit regularly. My esperanto level is way higher than my english level, and yet I am learning english for much longer.
So I would be of course interested if an esperanto version of dominion exist somewhere, but I don't need it. It would clearly propagate dominion in the esperanto world, and that's the only utility an esperanto version of dominion would have.

On BGG the microbadge esperanto shows that several esperanto speaker are dominion fan. I'm not surprised, actually. Dominion is an interesting game for those who likes logic, changing rules, and that sort of thing.

This is the first I've heard of someone who regularly uses Esperanto.  Cool.  Can I ask what your native country/language are?

I took an online Esperanto course many years ago because I'm interested in linguistics and conlangs, but I've never actually spoken it, only written.

My native language is french, and I live in Belgium.
People who use esperanto regularly are not rare, usually they use it in meetings around the world (I have met some of my best friends, including french people, there), or for couchsurfing (using esperanto as the main language instead of english).
In fact there are many ways to make use of esperanto, even if only a few people learned it.

'Rare' is a subjective term. Wikipedia cites estimates of a few hundred thousand, disproportionately concentrated in the EU.

I know a word in Esperanto. It's "Esperanto." It means Esperanto. It has another meaning too but I prefer that one.
