Anyone into outdoor sports?

I know this probably isn't the likeliest of places. I actually spend way more time climbing and training for rock climbing than playing dominion, which is probably why my ratings are so mediocre. Just wondering if there are any other outdoor enthusiasts lurking in these virtual caves?

Sometimes I go geocaching. And gain two geocoppers.

Geocaching is awesome! I couldn't get into it too obsessively though because after a certain point its all about doing power trails (pathways of easy to find caches each .1 apart) to increase your numbers. That just wasn't my thing.                                          Wither, how competitively? I'm curious because I imagine f.ds folks tend to get competitive about things and wonder how well translates to sports.

I play pickleball virtually everyday, and mostly outdoors.  It's the fastest growing sport in America.

Here is the link to the 2014 men's age 19 - 49 doubles national championship.  I have had the pleasure of playing with, and displeasure of playing against, Kyle Yates, who along with his partner Rob Elliot, won it all this past year.

EDIT:  The video match doesn't actually last the 1h:48m.  It's over in about 35 minutes.  Somebody just left the camera running.

There aren't a lot of power trails in Finland. I usually focus more on individual caches that offer a bigger challenge (hard mysteries, long multis, high terrain ratings and challenge caches with a time limit are all pretty fun IMO, not a huge fan of caches that take ages to find when you actually get on the location or where "stealth required" means that the cache is being guarded by muggles 24/7 though), but whenever I have to travel hundreds of kms for one cache, I also try some easier caches on the way.

I'm not sure I qualify as an outdoor enthusiast.  I enjoy being outside, but I don't do anything with any consistency. My hobbies vary quite a bit. Hiking, biking, football, baseball, basketball, golf, amusement parks, and car shows basically cover my outdoor activities that are not chores.

Beach is fun.  I prefer indoor though.  Maybe I just haven't played enough beach.

i don't post as much these days but i've gotten really into hiking. i've already logged >150 miles on trails in 2015. i do a tiny amount of climbing as part of that but i don't care for it. running and softball get me outside a lot too.

Yeah.  I haven't had good beaches to play.  I didn't start really playing until college.  Went to the activity fair freshman year, club volleyball guy told me to show up at practice. I did, and have been playing since.

We should make a F.DS volleyball team.  I'm an outside.

I am a middle.  Now all we need is a really good setter and libero and a couple fillers.  Can't do anything without a setter and I sure as heck can't pass the ball.

I can probably be a mediocre setter. I've got height to play up front too.

Teproc plays!

How tall is everyone?  I'm like just under 6'1" (undersized for a hitter :( )

And hey, as long as you can jump and have good hitting technique I have seen some vicious small outside hitters

I'm 6'1" as well. I (should) still have about a 30" vertical. You definitely don't want me in the back... I'm not so good at receiving serves.

Then instead of lamenting your cardio condition, credit your short run to an almost-instant conquering of your fear. It's all a matter of perspective.

Plus, people watching counts as an outdoor sport.

Does people watching still count if you are watching through the blinds in your computer room?
