Background Music for playing Dominion?

Do you even care what, if any, music is playing while you dominate? I enjoy Blackmore's Night and find that it fits quite nicely:

Some sort of power metal works as well, like Blind Guardian, at least their ballads:

I look up space jam mashups on Youtube and just play them the entire time.

Here's a great one:

More seriously, I listen to a wide variety of genres while playing.  Recently added this to my collection, fantastic album:

Whatever music I happen to be in the mood for. Chinese folk music, sludge doom, various subgenres of extreme metal, dubstep, pop, classical music, trance, dnb, post-rock, alternative rock, jazz, hip-hop, new age, etc. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Kalafina and Peculate while playing Dominion.

I always assumed everyone listens to the default music provided by goko. I mean, its pretty hard to top that kind of quality.

Indeed, I like to open a separate browser tab to have the Goko theme song from the frontpage on endless repeat.

It may sound maddening at first, but stick with it for just a few weeks and your perseverance will be richly rewarded.

I listen to a lot of video game music, which is great while playing Dominion since it usually doesn't have lyrics. If you're interested, Rainwave is a great online radio station that plays video game music 24/7, and lets you request/vote on what music plays.

I feel like Bolero belongs in more of an engine game.  A slow crescendo followed by a gigantic finale.

I honestly think this is one of the best piano performances of anything ever, and I'll listen to it as a soundtrack to anything.

Slow growth and one pattern repeated until the end, sounds like BM to me.

Except that the most interesting part of the piece is the end portion, where the two main themes get distorted, everything shifts to a different key, there are huge glissandi, and a fast descending scale to end the piece.  Like the sudden change from buying engine pieces to finally hitting KC-KC-Bridge x3, then piledriving the Provinces.

To each their own, of course, and clearly you know more about music than I do. But when I think engine-building into KC-KC-Bridge*3, it's not Bolero de Ravel that comes to mind, it's this:

You are spot on my friend with the 1812 overture as a KC KC/ Bridge Bridge Bridge engine.  I imagine the cannon firing at the end as you pile drive all the provinces.  And the rest of the song as each piece of the engine is being put together.  that might be the best song representation yet. :)
