A Village in the kingdom is always a welcome luxury, but sometimes you just have to make the best out of the one already in your deck ;)

I feel confident that I could not competently play that board.

Question: Why go Witch over Ghost Ship?  The Curses will be passed back and forth with Ambassador... is it because you don't have the villages to adequately line up Ambassadors with Curses?

Mostly that, and the fact that the deck is so fragile that you don't want to further destabilize it by keeping a Curse around. Also, Ambassador in itself is no reason to skip Witch; it's true that there'll be some passing back and forth, but you have to make sure that you're passing at a higher rate than your opponent so that he slowly drowns in the junk. If your deck wouldn't mind some draw, Witch can easily be the better passing assistant than an additional Ambassador.
