Just found this on forum.makingfun, apparently the server restart days have changed:

Server Restarts for General Maintenance: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9a Pacific
With the recent spike in server traffic, we've had to add another restart to the weekly rotation. The server will now be brought down briefly for maintenance every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9a Pacific.

9a Pacific = 1200 forum time = 1700UTC.

...Wait, spike in traffic? From what? I doubt there are that many new users, and the crawler from Salvager was here before the instability, so I'm not sure how that's happening.

I don't know why activity went up so much but even with the bugs I have been seeing more people than usual online. I tend to end up in Great Hall or Hovel upon logging in.
