It's that time of year again, where we select and honor some of the best moments of the past twelve months of mafia.  Below you'll see the planned categories, as well as eligible games.


Game-based Categories:

Best "Normal" Game
Best "Non-Normal/Non-BM" Game
Best "Bastard/Drunk" Game
Best In-Game Moment

Player-based Categories:

Best Town Performance in a Single Game
Best Scum Performance in a Single Game
Best Townie

Player of the Year

Mod-based Categories:

Best Original Set-Up
Best Original Role
Best Flavor
Mod of the Year

Game Eligibility:
"Normal" Category: Mafia 35 (Chocolate Factory) - Mafia 53 (Dresden Files Mafia)
"Non-Normal/Non-BM" Category: RMM12 (Time War) - RMM18 (Guilds Mafia), Newbie Mafia 5-7, Blitz Mafia 16 (Hangman) - 19 (Chapterhouse Blitz)
"Bastard/Drunk" Category: BM15 (Language Mafia) - BM19 (Disney Will Destroy You)
"Newbie" players are defined as having one of their first three games ever within the awards year.

Notes:
--All game eligibility decisions were based on game end dates.
--Best Town/Scum Performance in a Single Game is just that.  Best Townie/Scum is based on the totality of performances over the year, and have a minimum of three games in either alignment.
--Threads for each award will go into further depth when it comes to eligibility.

New Categories:
There are three new categories, one for each subsection, to be included based on your hopes and dreams.  Post ideas in this thread for what awards you would like to see included.

You could say this is covered under best in-game moment, but I'd be happy to see this as its own category. Throwing some more ideas out there:

Best post
Best use of power role
Best claim (fake or real)
Best blitz game/Best RMM game - split into two categories.
Best hammer

Doesn't M53 count for the awards anymore? I need it as my "best town performance in a single game" nomination!

Didn't we have "most fun to play with" in earlier awards? I think that would be nice to have.

Thinking of other categories... "best end-game" would be nice, but sort of covered by both "best game" and "best in-game moment". We could have "best modding in a single game" to account for mods dealing well with difficult situations.
