I think it's "I gg" as in I say gg due to already being behind thanks to the Ill-Gotten Gains, but I think that's only two things, I'm still missing the third.

The only other one I can think of is a stretch - you "gain" a win, which is "ill-gotten" by using that strategy.

I was referring to the fact that IGG, the card, and I GG, the pun, are both answers to the question as posed; the card is the only method of performing the action described.  As opposed to Harem/Cellar, where there is only wordplay and no relation to the game.

Someone find me a better word than entendre here, please; I guess I could just say it works on two levels, as opposed to the other puns which are just plain ol' puns.

I think you are right, Kirian. Puns are generally a form of a double entendre (or a skewed version at least). I think it would be accurate to call it a meme with a double entendre (double entendre means "two meanings", right? IGG the card, and I GG as in you win).

lol. I also thought of that after I posted in and saw it. The idea was that IGG is both often the correct play (since obviously your opponent is going IGG) and that you might also "gg", but I knew someone would read it as an onomatopoeic sound of frustration.

I think what Kirian is trying to say is that I didn't just put some random scenario as the question and have the humor in the fact that IGG is both a card and something you'd say, but rather I chose a question such that IGG the card could also be a reasonable answer in the absence of a pun.

Anyway, that's a lot of analysis for a bad pun coon. In retrospect, I should have perhaps also replaced "you" in the question with "I". I'd update it if it were an article on IGG puns, but it's just a bad pun meme...
