What's the love for the pigs all about?

The reference to the Greek myth (Odyssey?) where a woman turns men into pigs.

Point iguana. Not that points really matter with a result, but still.

An enchantress turns the men accompanying Odyssseus into pigs when they land on her island.

I actually feared exactly this when Donald first talked about using a larger font size, and therefore argued against it for a while.

True story.

Explorer would probably get Times New Roman.  Or maybe a slightly better font that still isn't the best, but everyone agrees that TNR isn't the best.

Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell the other cards I love them very much they know

Butcher is a verb, but it's not obvious that butchering something is making it better.  :-\ Seemed like a more appropriate card for that name would be what Stonemason is.

Yeah, but the name "Butcher" went on a coin token card to match Baker and Candlestick Maker.

Farmland is a noun, but to farm land is an action.  A transitive verb with the object plugged in.  Probably an intentional stretch.  Good enough for a Clarence meme.

I've always felt that Butcher and Stonemason should have switched names.

A stonemason generates value by making a large thing (building|better card) out of smaller things (useless cards|coin tokens), and the larger thing is worth more than the sum of its parts.  That's what the card Butcher does.

A butcher generates value by making small things (cuts of meat|several cards) out of a larger thing (animal carcass|card you don't want), and the separated things are more valuable than the original thing.  That's what the card Stonemason does.

And don't even get me started on Farming Village and Fishing Village.
One gives you a stronger bonus in a short while, while the other one fishes for good cards. Guess which is which.

And what is the deal with Legionary?  "No, you don't have to pay us... We just want to see that you have a Gold.  But it has to be in your hand.  We can't be bothered to look in your deck or discard pile.  Hey, you should've hired a Sage!"

Are they kissing it for good luck?  Is Gold the Blarney stone of Dominion world?  Inquiring minds want to know!

And what's the deal with Fool's Gold?  First you're exposed as a fraud right away, and THEN you can play it for the big bucks as much as you want!  Don't fool me once, shame on you.  Don't fool me lots of times after that?  Shame on your handsize!

I know if I'm the guy running that stall at the Market, and someone wants to trade a Gold for a Gold, I'm gonna say thanks but no thanks!  Maybe I'll bring in a Sage to check this out first, then maybe we'll talk.

If Scout is the time Donald choked on a pretzel, is Patrol the Heimlich maneuver?
