OKAY YOU GUYS I HAVE AN ACTUAL PHD IN DIALECTOLOGY

I bet you don't get to say that every day.

...You'd be surprised!

(AJD walks into a bar, finds a cute girl.)  "Hi, do you like talking?  Well, I have an actual PhD in Dialectology. Want to talk about that?  Hey, wait, where are you going?"

Pshaw, I auditioned, but I was only cast as Cockney Man #2. We did prank a rehearsal one time by singing the Beach Boys' "Wouldn't It Be Nice" instead of "Wouldn't It Be Loverly", though.

dammit, English needs a second-person plural.

English has a second-person plural, however its speakers decided to get rid of second-person singular.
And then some regions re-invented it, as y'all should know.

Found it first on 9gag, it sums up pretty well my thoughts on English pronounciation (I'm French, btw)

something something Ghoti Fingers* something something I taught myself Shavian in junior high and that useless ability is still in my brain somehow.

*I tried to Google this Shavian typing program only to discover it apparently isn't on the internet anymore. 8 results, one of which is a Yahoo! group from 1999.  :o

Didn't Mark Twain fix English for us once and for all a hundred years ago or so?

Ok, combo breaker :

You'd have to throne a Bridge or something to pull that off...  But the upshot is that you could run out the Duchy pile in the same move.

Not unless some Duchies were already gone to begin with, or a bunch of Estates were returned with Ambassador.

Hmmm, yeah, you would come up short.  Actually, in two-player, you'd only get a mix of up to 5 Victory cards if you bought the first Estate with this move.  You could trash your starting estates on a totally different turn to make up the others, if possible.

Before. I think the only full-length play I've been in since finishing grad school was the one in which I played an archaeologist.

(Oh wait, that's not true; I also had a bit part in Romeo and Juliet as one of the Capulet soldiers in the first scene.)

You're doing BDSM wrong.

Well, it's masochistic to like 6-player Dominion games.

And it's sadistic to like making 5 other people also play a 6-player Dominion game.

Hence the BDSM. A lot of expected connotations to get the joke, probably was unfair.

2/20 would not make joke again
