Pearl Diver's Action is so weak that one might as well not even bother with it, but I'm not sure that was intentional.

But that's the whole point!

Phew, I was worried I hadn't got it.

Edgar Allen Poe isn't doing well here?  Or is it the small text at the bottom that's being missed?

He means the memegenerator.net watermark. You're supposed to find images funny when they have the memegenerator.net watermark.

I know.

I was being arch. (but not Arch, cause he is Wandering Winder).  Maybe the emoticon I picked made that less clear.

I gave you a +1, cause explaining the joke made it funnier, and strictly funnier than my attempt at a joke.

There's a low-level guy I've played with who mirrors strategies almost every game. One day I decide to go for Barons and Rats on a board with shelters and no trashing. Naturally, he followed.

Oh is there a more complete story there? What happened?

I don't remember exactly what happened. I think I bought Feodums and trashed them with Rats. Opponent gained a bunch of estates with Baron and then trashed them with Rats. The final score was something like 15 points in 30 turns.

If I were you, I would have some fun with this. Open double curse/ estate. Open scout/moat. Open duchy/estate. That should get him to stop playing with you. Then have the audacity to ask him, "Why don't you play with me anymore?"*

via Imgflip Meme Maker

Edge case: near a reshuffle, and you really don't want to draw the Copper again, or have it in your new deck.

I wouldn't even call that an edge case.  Seems like an important difference to me.

Edge cases: Coppersmith and Counting House.

Hmm.  Definitely play C-smith before S-teller.

Ok, I read about the card, and Clarence is sort of right, but only if you have all three cards in hand.  In that case, you will play both cards eventually. You would have to decide whether you want a chance of additional cycling, or if you want to hold on to the Copper the first time on the chance that you might hit a good price point before playing the second action.  If you play Cellar first, then you can try to get a bunch of bigger treasures in hopes that you can hit a big handsize when you play Storyteller.  On the other hand, if you have all your big money already, Storyteller first will probably let you Cellar your green cards.

If you want "Cellar-as-Storyteller", you have to throw in a Peddler and ignore everything but Copper.

Storyteller draws an extra card compared to cellar in any event.

I derped.  It spends the money, so it's more like a Lab-Cellar in the Copper-only case.
