Tennantface could probably make any card hilarious.

Or DTIPHSB.

I might just do that...

Tennant actually does play a role in one of the Harry Potter movies, but that's not what this was about.

This is about Harry Potter and that "screwdriver" is actually the Elder Wand.

If i wasn't busy doing stuff i get paid for right now, i would dig up some webcomic strips lampshading the fact that there's no difference between sonic screwdrivers and wands, really.

There's a huge* difference!  Magic wands can affect organic materials, and sonic instruments can't.  Magic wands aren't particularly good as sensing instruments.

But otherwise, yep, pretty much the same, even up to the reliance on "point and think."

*Extreme sarcasm here.

Nobody did this yet, right?

Obvious meme is obvious.

Classic meme is classic anyways.
Can someone explain that to me?

The man whose face has been photoshopped onto the card is David Tennant, who is most famous for playing Barty Crouch Jr. in the fourth Harry Potter film (Goblet of Fire).  He's had some bit roles in other film and TV, but they aren't important.  In the film, Barty Crouch Jr. uses Polyjuice Potion to take on the guise of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody.  For most of this time, Moody is the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  He is thus known to the students (including Harry Potter, the titular main character) as Professor Moody.  In Canada and the US, the title of "Professor" is granted not only to academic teachers but also to scholars with doctorates.

Therefore, it can be said that David Tennant is a "Doctor", which is why he was associated with that card.

Edit: an alternative face to photoshop onto the Doctor card would be that of actor Matt Smith.  He is famous for playing Patrick Bateman in American Psycho (the musical).  Patrick is a character who allegedly lives a double life, except that he hallucinates and is thus an unreliable narrator.  It could be said that his memory and narration are doctored.

Matt Smith has had some bit roles in film and TV as well, including an obscure British show that nobody watches which coincidentally also starred David Tennant for some time.  But that piece of esoteric trivia isn't relevant here.

Has anyone ever told you that you are hilarious?

Posted these in a different thread, figured they probably belong more in this one.  Feel free not to upvote if you already did in the other thread.

During the same possessed turn, topdeck both his Schemes and discard the Fortresses.

edit: This was funny until I realized the quoted poster was a girl who had previously expressed hesitation towards the gaming community due to gamergate stuff of which I only have passing knowledge but enough to know that maybe this was maybe better deleted from public view. To those who saw the joke, it was in no way pointed at elenchana but simply a funny reference to something totally unrelated that appeared to be related in a strangely perverse way. This post was self-moderated with no suggestion made by anyone else. All rights and warranties not disclaimed above are considered void without recourse.

Poor Leo already ended the turn, though.

Next turn he possesses him, he can still gain two 5 $s, de-prince the Schemes and discard the Fortresses.

Unfortunately, this has the potential to create a time paradox. If the future cards had leaked in the past before or during development, Donald would be way less likely to create the cards in the first place.

I guess if you just went into the future to play it and then kept your mouth shut in the past/present, that might be fine.

Man, I will back the Slowbro in that fight. Steamroller might get lucky and flinch a lot, but a Slowbro has really high Defense. I think probably the Slowbro knocks out the Scolipede with Psychic first.

252+ Atk Scolipede Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 242-288 (61.4 - 73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Slowbro Psychic vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Scolipede: 264-312 (99.6 - 117.7%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Scolipede is faster, but you still have to back Slowbro, especially if Stealth Rock is up.

Because f.DS does not have enough damage calcs.

I'll just have Scolipede wear the hat that prevents OHKO.

"Why the fuck did this thread turn into a Pokemon thread" or "what the fuck turned this thread into a pokemon thread".

Either works.
