I didn't want to give my opponent the wrong impression that I didn't want to play with him.

Oh man, I hate that. There should be a way to send a message to the person you're declining. I mean that's probably too cumbersome but I feel bad about that kind of thing all the time.

Salvager has some a communication backend of its own (recently found that out in conversation over in the Salvager thread), so it might be possible to add a text input to the automatch dialog, and then have your message appear in the "decline" popup that the other player sees.  Post it as a feature request in the Salvager thread if you like, the worst that could happen is the devs say it's too cumbersome to implement.

Edit: Someone else already made the request.  They quoted your post over in that thread.

Laughing too hard to think of edge case (just realized, there is no edge case).

When you hear about the one time a guy won playing Scout-Thief, that's when know you've Harem all.

So, most of the time he doesn't always draw cards, but sometimes, he always draws cards.

Exactly.  As long as the scope of his comment is that single game, it works out~

The edgier part of the edge case is that the only game he's played where he has bought and played Scout is the one where he had only Scout and Victory cards (and was unable to play Scout before his deck was trashed down to Scout and Victory Cards because of all the .. uh.. Thieves and Scouts discarding him.. yeah, that's it).

You could go Harem-Nobles and then trash all of your non-Victory treasures with a Chapel or something.  Your Scout would have just one non-Victory card to avoid, but if you got too many Nobles, you could theoretically draw your whole deck except for Chapel, so as long as you don't get that many Nobles, it's ok.

Though if he's ever played a Scout game other than this occasion, he can probably make this statement about his life as a Dominion player.  And he probably doesn't have an awesome second half of his statement tomake.

Replace Matthias Catrein with Maurits Cornelis and that would be perfect.

Play a bunch of these with Golem and then Cellar them.

EDIT: There are no +cards in the kingdom, and you got +actions from something like Squire or Fishing Village.

Yo momma's so fat, if she were a victory card then scout would turn useful.

Edge case: you didn't know all cards in your discard pile were junk when overpaying for Herald, so you have 5 junk cards on top of your deck.

Scavenger lets you put your deck until the discard. You should know if your whole deck is junk.

Better edge case: your deck is bloated and you want to make the next several turns really good. You use Scavenger/Herald to stack your best treasures, which Inn can't touch. You buy Inn second because you want Herald shuffled into your deck.

Better edge case: You're playing a casual game and are not paying much attention to the game because you're also watching TV.
