Leo Goons/Possession

I did not know that.  It's not even in the Prosperity Rules/FAQ.  You learn something new every day...

Technically, it shouldn't have to, though it probably could use a clarification.  Possession specifically indicates that you gain any cards the possessed player would have gained.  It says nothing about any sorts of tokens.  If you played a Pirate Ship while possessing your opponent and used the attack, your opponent would gain the PS token too.

Good Guy Greg just doesn't work in 2p in terms of in game interactions.

Anything good for you is bad for him and vice versa.

(Game situation)
Smoking Face
(Takes supotimal move)

My inner game theory knowing nerd can't let this fly.

What non-zero sum good can Greg really do?  Encourage opponents to resign when he knows he has them beat with a torturer lock down, rather than encourage them to suffer?  Not play at one move per 2 minutes when losing?  Gently explain an opponents bad decision after the game?

Of course, 3p+ can be more interesting:

plays Spy, has you discard Tunnel repeatedly, later steals some Gold from you.  You both might get an advantage over the 3rd player in that situation.

Plays Militia after your Council Room in 3p+?  The 3rd player discards 3, you only discard 2.

As far as I can tell, BM/Milita beats Milita/Tunnel (followed by money and possibly more Tunnels) on 4/3 openings pretty comfortably according to the simulator. I feel like I'm allowed to ruin the joke as I had a leoinception joke of my own ruined by the stupid simulator earlier ITT :)

If you say it's true, I'll believe you (never having run anything by any simulator before).  +1 internets for passing along the joke-ruining.   ;D :P

Question: does the simulator take into account the turn order?  Tunnel's reaction ability?  I assume it would, but I'm curious...

What bots did you use? If I just take the default militia bot in geronimoo's simulator and add in a single tunnel before silver, it appears to crush the default militia bot nearly 70/30.

Yep, Militia+Tunnel crushes Militia+Silver. Maybe you're using an older version (with a bug?). Here's the latest release.

Out of interest, how does Tunnel + Silver fare against either of the above?

Tunnel with no militia beats militia+tunnel, since the militia guy's tunnel is useless. But if you open militia/silver and don't get any additional militia, the tunnel guy can't reliably use his tunnel and is behind.

More concisely:
single militia > single tunnel > militia + tunnel > mass militia > single militia

So does this qualify for the Rock Paper Scissors puzzle?

"Single tunnel", if faced against single-militia-BM without tunnels, will either buy additional tunnels or buy a militia, transitioning out of single tunnel.

Of course it depends on what there is to transition to. Single militia should add some other stuff too. But I think it's better to have an extra militia than to be buying tunnels (from the start) with the hope of activating them off of your opponents single militia.

It does. It's basically perfect. Takes a second maybe to program in the buy rules (I don't want anybody disputing me on that fact now) but it's a worthwhile download. Here you go: http://dominionsimulator.wordpress.com/

Centuries later, archaeologists discover the remains of your ancient civilization.

Evidence of thriving towns, Pottery, roads, and a centralized government amaze the startled scientists.

Finally, they come upon a stone tablet, which contains but one mysterious phrase!

'ISOTROPIC WILL RETURN!'

Okay, this is really bugging me.  I can't find any reference to the 3-pane Inception meme that everyone is using.  I have been down to like page 20 or something of knowyourmeme.com and can find no reference to it.  What is it commonly known as?

I think it's called Inception Leo, though memegenerator isn't loading that page.
It's also here:

GGG has ambassador in deck in a Possession game. P1 is GGG's greatest threat and can possess GGG. GGG uses his masquerade to pass a Province to P3.
