33 right?

24 is correct.

Permutation of 4 is 4! (That's 4 factorial)

You have four cards revealed.  You choose one to top deck.  Then one of the three remaining revealed cards to top deck.  Then one of the two remaining revealed cards to top deck.  Then finally one of the one remaining revealed cards to top deck.  The result is 4*3*2*1 choices, which is 24.

Of course with 4 different non-victory cards ...
Now, the last Scout joke and I stop here ! And some new cards...

Chocolate is like victory points in Dominion. Both taste good but they'll hurt you if you eat too much of it instead of something else in your early days.

@The last one:

Why would it be particularly mad to get rid of a Necropolis by putting it in the way of a Swindler? Sure, Overgrown Estate is even more attractive for it, but getting rid of a Necropolis should improve your deck in most cases as well - and even if you'd rather like to keep it if you had a choice, it will still often be the best alternative - the Swindler is an attack card which often hurts, after all.

But I thought that you put up to 4 VP cards in your hand so you can reorder either 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 cards which means that there are 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 24 = 34 ways to reorder 0 to 4 cards.
I didn't count 0 at first.

That was my fist guess how you arrived at 33... ;D

And indeed IMO you are right (now), 34 should be the number!

It is a different thing to put 4 cards back than to put 3 cards back and leave one in your hand.
So that makes 4!+3!+2!+1!+0! = 34 different possibilities to put cards back.

However, I guess one could argue that you can't "choose" the 34 possibilities yourself because you *must* put all revealed victory cards in your hand.

So ChocophileBenj's wording is ambigous!

If we count from 2 upwards, there are still 2 + 6 + 24 = 32 ways. :)

You never have a choice between 33 options, because you can't choose how many cards you can put back. So you'll either have only 1 choice, or 2 choices, or 6 choices, or 24 choices, depending on how many victory cards you find.

Thank you GendoIkari (and Thank you Davio for saying the meme I posted was funny) !

And Necropolis is good when you don't have any village, right ?

I'm afraid I don't get SirPeebles version at all. Why would playing KC-KC-Beggar-Beggar-Trader have any significance for Fedoums? Trashing Coppers with a Trader doesn't gain you any Silvers.

KC-KC-Beggar-Fortress-Trader wouldn't do any silvery good either, by the way - the Fortress would have to be KCd after the Trader(s).

You play beggar with trader in hand to gain silvers instead of coppers. So you'd gain 18 silvers with KC/KC/Beggar/Beggar/Trader.

You still gain 18 silvers for feodums which increases their value by 6 each...

Ah, right, thanks, very good! :D
You won't gain the Silvers into your hand as you would have the Coppers if I don't misremember Donald's ruling on that, but still.

That's very true.  I was thinking if you could manage to get KC/Trader/Silver/Silver/Silver in a later turn, you turn 3 silver into 9.  Which feeds Feodum even more.

And with your one buy, grab a Copper, but reveal Trader for a 19th Silver instead  ;)

With the fortress example, you'd get even more.  You would effectively play Trader 6 times, getting 4 Silvers each time for a total of 24 Silvers.  But hey, I was trying to modify Qvist's into a beneficial use of KC-KC-Beggar-Beggar.

If you throw a few Schemes into the mix you could empty the Silver pile in no time.
