Alright, fine, "James, while John had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

You guys are about to create a linguistic singularity.

This is no worse than "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo".

James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.

Now punctuate it in two ways for two unique meanings.

That's trivial!

James, while John had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

James, while John had had "had had", had had "had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

Edit: partially ninja'd, but sudgy was missing one of the variants. ;)

That is awful.

Not as many "had"s in a row, but putting the word "James" first in that sentence is just monstrously awkward.

EDIT: Also, I think a semicolon there is pretty questionable. A period might be more correct.

EDIT EDIT: In retrospect, I'm not sure why I posted this. I guess it's just an effect of my recent reading material.

It may be awful, but it's grammatically correct.  The semicolon is not incorrect, either, though you'd never actually use it here.  But this is missing the entire point, which is that you can have a single grammatically correct sentence with 11 "had's" in a row.  Moreover, you can change the meaning by changing the punctuation.  (The new punctuation still gives a correct sentence.)

I really thought the cue spin "English" in "English Private English's private lesson in English on how to lessen English" would not be capitalized because it is not a proper noun anymore, but the internet says otherwise.

What if English Private Private English takes private lessons in English to use his privates to lessen the english?

Rather naughty.  (There aren't many places left to go with this...)

That text doesn't properly conform to the meme's grammar.  You'd need to make it something like:

"CONSECUTIVIZE ALL THE WORDS"

Isn't syntax an element of grammar?

I think he meant it should be "Syntax all the words."

I just felt like jumping on the correcting bandwagon.  Grammar isn't wrong, but I think syntax is more appropriate.

There's probably an edge case, but I wouldn't be that proud of myself for gaining both of those cards in the same game.

Depends on the board.  Leo loses if there's an easy way to get a big money hand early, I guess?
