A quick report of the games I played with PST. I'd be happy to hear any advice on how to play better, particularly Game 5 where I couldn't work out what to do.

Game 1 - J. P. Gerber wins. I thought that Menagerie / Black Market was probably a fine way to go with some trashing and Hamlet discarding and Hunting Party.

Code: [Select]
Beggar, Chapel, Hamlet, Herbalist, Black Market, Forager, Menagerie, Trader, Haggler, Hunting Party, Inn

Game 2 - J. P. Gerber wins http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?/20140910/log.51664525e4b0a2af9e243dc9.1410351567046.txt
Clawed back from a slightly uneven start

Game 3 - J. P. Gerber wins http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?/20140910/log.51664525e4b0a2af9e243dc9.1410352913533.txt
Fairgrounds got me by surprise but I focused on money to get some prizes

Game 4 - J. P. Gerber wins http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?/20140910/log.51664525e4b0a2af9e243dc9.1410353283139.txt
Beggar-Gardens rush

Game 5 - PST wins. A board that I couldn't see how to play. Good work to PST for seeing that Pillage defeats Death Cart.

Code: [Select]
Cellar, Black Market, Fortune Teller, Death Cart, Remake, Trader, Cartographer, Mandarin, Mystic, Pillage

Game 6 - J. P. Gerber wins

I initally think Council Room-BM but then realise PST's Golem is good if it can hit Apprentice and Highway in order.

It's clearly a pretty weak board so don't expect to find an amazingly good strategy.
Black Market is almost always a great card but without any villages in the Kingdom it's not that great either.

The main problem with both your decks is that you got waaaay too many terminals. If you have a Death Card, a Black Market and a Fortune Teller in your hand, they just do so much worse then 3 much simpler silvers would do.

I would probably try to make the Black Market work here anyway. Open Remake/Black Market, then try to get Cartographers/Mystics (reasonable combo, although both cost $5) and most importantly - stay away from almost all other terminals. That implies you will need a couple of Silvers and/or Nothings before you get running.

D3 match with ibavly (shinigami) - any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Game 1 - gseipkes wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411436308110.txt
I thought this was a clear Mercenary board, and was lucky to have my Urchins collide on the third hand. ibavly went opened Urchin/Taxman which he said he regretted. I should have loaded up on Fortresses instead of the few silvers/golds.

Game 2 - gseipkes wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411436752417.txt
I opened Marauder/Masquerade, which I initially regretted, but the Spoils came in very handy in gaining the Provinces.

Game 3 - gseipkes wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411437245089.txt
I opened Caravan/Masquerade in what I thought was a Big Money game. Not sure the Caravan was necessary.

Game 4 - gseipkes wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411437778805.txt
Never a fan of the Rebuild games, but I like to get some money ahead of getting in that game too early. I thought he was ahead the entire game, especially after King's Courting his Rebuild in turn 12. The money I got early allowed me to get a Province straight up along with a Fairgrounds late. If we had the VP counter on he may have played the final turns differently.

Game 5 - ibavly wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411438690275.txt
With both of us getting the 5/2, I opened Mint/Secret Chamber and he went Mine/Pearl Diver. Unfortunately my terminals continued to collide. Not sure either are the best strategy. I might open Council Room/Hamlet if I had to do it over.

Game 6 - gseipkes wins
http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20140922/log.53211365e4b0185fa4614c51.1411439329578.txt
Another 5/2 for me and went Tribute/Native Village, but again was thinking this was another Big Money Game. I was fortunate to get a Gold in turn 5 and was buying Provinces in turn 8.
