Had a piece of fruit yesterday that I had never seen before: dragonfruit. It was quite beautiful, but nothing to get excited about taste-wise. Mildly sweet, interesting texture, but after tasting it I understood it was there more for effect on the tray. It didn't have the wow factor of say, a good mango.
You can really tell people want you to buy that shit. Like, why else would you call it a Dragon Fruit?
It's a far more appealing name than Ugly Fruit. I think I had both, but I don't remember anything exceptional about either. I may have to try them again, but they're generally more expensive.
I do love a good mango, though. My wife hates chopping them, and I'm too lazy to learn, though it would be the right thing to do since I enjoy them way more than she does.
If I can get some cheap kiwi, that's an easy snack. Cut in half, scoop out with spoon. If it's a nice juicy kiwi, then you'll have to wash your hands afterwards, but it's worth it.
