Yes. It's a spreadsheet with enemy stats in Awakening, which I'm now transferring from a spreadsheet into SerenesForest's wiki

Cool beans. I remember you being into FE and when there was Wyvern Rider, Steel Axe and stats that could very well be a Wyvern Rider's I had to ask. ;)

Removing festival wristband

Quote
I heard about a method using an unfolded crisp packet using the silvery greasy side against your wrist it helps it slide off easily. Not 100% sure of the process but it I've been told it works.

If you just start tearing it off from the place you put it on, it wrips the paper in two the really thin way and eventually just comes off.  It's really easy.

Since TINAS is talking about using grease, I'm assuming the key thing is to slip the wristband off without wrecking it, so that you can slip it on again later (or let somebody else put it on).  The method you describe for simply removing the band is well known, and even if TINAS didn't know it he would surely just use scissors or a knife rather than resorting to some obscure grease technique.

The idea is to remove it intact to hang with my other wristbands next to my collage of concert ticket stubs. I don't intend to re-wear it but I don't want it damaged. Also, it's a proper fabric wristband, not a shitty paper one. Shitty paper ones go straight in the bin.

I really wish Excel displayed nested IF statements better. Stepping into the equation helps me a lot, but I wish it was more intuitive to follow.

Sub 19 minutes! Sloppiness earlier got saved by a very clean endgame, if I could actually reproduce it consistently I can break 18 minutes very easily...but nailing all the platforming in the last couple of levels is really tough.

Edit:

Fuck this game :/

In the middle of reading Ra by qntm. Here's a fairly interesting standalone chapter, it doesn't seem to spoil anything and the required background knowledge is mostly covered within the chapter. The main background you need is that magic is real, magic is a science with consistent + verifiable results, and doing anything in magic requires significant effort.

Yesterday I won a game of Terra Mystica where I scored 51 points in endgame bonuses (uniquely first place in all four cults and largest area, plus 3 coins left over). I was playing against players with a few games behind them each but one only just connected his areas and mostly built up, not out, while the other had two totally separate areas. Neither competed cults very much either, letting me win two cults with 10/10/9/9.

I was playing Chaos Magicians and managed to end up with two towns, that I linked together via direct adjacency.

Winning every cult, really ? That's... interesting, of course the Chaos Magicians are the best equipped for this with the multiple favors, but in our games there's alwqays at least one cult that gets locked down since you can't lock all 4.

How much did you score total ?

I think it was about 138. So a pretty big chunk of my points were endgame scoring. I also did fairly well on some later round bonuses, which stacked with favour tiles (R4: Trading Posts I got 6+6 more from favour tile. R5: Towns I got 10. R6: Dwellings I got 8+8 more from favour tile).

Edit: And like I mentioned, nobody else really competed the cults too much. I think the highest anyone else got was to 8 on Air, which I promptly took as my second capped track (first was Fire).

Was that a Harry Potter interpretation? I've never read HP or seen the movies, so the joke went a bit over my head.

Not an interpretation, an accurate summary of Snape's story.

This was this person's real-life story.  JK Rowling once met this man in a bar, and after many a pint he started telling her his entire life story.  She took his story and wrote it into Harry Potter without giving this man any credit at all.  They are currently in litigation.

Have you guys played "Papers, Please"? It's been out for a little while but I just got around to playing it. It's a cool little game made by one guy, who describes it as a "dystopian document thriller."

Basically the premise is you play as a border control official between the fictional eastern bloc-style countries of Arstotzka and Kalechia. You must approve or deny entrants based on their documentation and Kafkaesque rules that change from day to day. This is the core mechanic, but you also have to earn enough to feed your impoverished family, and you encounter plenty of colorful characters and storyline along the way.

It's hard to describe this game and make it sound exciting but it's actually pretty awesome!

I have some Best Buy certificates I need to spend before they expire. I hoped to find it there, but no such luck. It looks like I could get it from Steam. I'm intrigued.
