What I miss? More marriages, religious arguments, goko bashing and millions of Danish mafia games?

You missed some of my most respected posts ever, in the Homage thread.

Hahaha.  Full disclosure, that thought did occur to me, though the primary reason is still laziness.

While intensely interested in the outcome, I could not bring myself to click on the link, for fear the world would end (or Goko would suddenly become as good as Isotropic, or something).

Is there a new release for Dominion yet?

There's one announced for 2015. So not yet, but soonish?

There's now a game in Counting House called "Based game". Doesn't look very based to me, there's no draw and the only thing you can do is Workshop/Gardens.  :-\

EDIT: And I just played against someone whose browser extension linked to http://dom.retrobox.eu/vp.html.

Alan Turing

Am I the only one appalled that the British government apologized for castrating Turing in the 50s? I mean, was it ok to castrate people as long as they were not geniuses?

There's some new slang the kids are using these days. I think "based" means "blessed" or "wonderful" or something?

Isn't this argument basically saying that it's not okay for the government to apologize for one wrong thing it did if it doesn't also apologize for every other wrong thing it did at the same time?

People lobbied to get that apology. So it could be an argument to not bow down to pressure from the masses.

No. The British government could not function if they were to apologize for all the wrong in their history.

But, as long as you are apologizing for that particular wrong, you could at least apologize to everyone you did it to. It just feels wrong that it is so particular.
