I'd potentially be down (+ have friends in DC who may want to attend), depending on the dates. Where in the DC area would this be?

Labyrinth would be great if you could guarantee there wouldn't be another event during the time, it is fairly small though. But I've always had a great time there.

We're talking about Jan. 23-25 or so at The Board & Brew in College Park MD.

OK everyone

I spent the morning (and part of afternoon) getting my cards arranged, properly sleeved, and making cuts where needed.

I now have my collection set up to provide THREE simultaneous games of three-player Dominion.  To do this, I had to chop down the number of Treasures in the supply, cut out Platinum/Colony/Ruins/Spoils, and two groups will have to use Shelters instead of Estates.  What a pity, right?  I just didn't pack any cards that use the missing things, so we're good.

The way I see it, with this setup we can accommodate nine players at time, which should hopefully be enough, and if only six come, then we can even play three two-player games with the new cards.

Hope you're all excited.

If you guys want, I can set up a tournament once we know who all is coming for sure.  Otherwise, playing casually is totally fine as usual.

Dude. You rock. Right now itt sounds like we'll have around 6-7 people.

Well I won't be there sadly. As awesome as it sounds. Rock on without me.

Seconded.

I think I'd prefer casual play to a tournament, but I would be down with some combination.

Also, assuming I can find transportation, it's easy for me to bring my cards which include plat/col, ruins, spoils and all the things that use them. That way one game can include them (or we could just have 0 possibility of a game with cultist. oh noes).

I am out of sleeves, so if you really want that you'll need Mayday standard sleeves, but let's be real here: you'll have plenty of opportunities to use whatever cards I didn't bring later.

To confirm, since I'm confused... This is Jan 23-25 for sure? I may be there, will let you know for sure within a few weeks before. If so, I'll be bringing every Dominion set and promo, plus Temporum and maybe a couple others.

That'd be awesome! Yeah let's say the evening of Jan. 23rd and possibly something in the afternoon of the 24th? Maybe we can all just get breakfast or whatever.

Hi all, semi-regular lurker here. Not sure how I missed this thread, but I'm in DC (well, Arlington) and would be definitely up for a meetup in the area.  I could also invite some of the crowd I play Dominion with in the area, too, unless we are trying to keep it more of a forum thing.

Also, if we are still trying to think of a venue, the Board Room near Dupont might be a good option, though it is definitely a 21 and over location.

Welcome to the forums! You and your friends are welcome. It sounds like we have enough people for this to be a successful event. Everybody good with the evening of Jan. 24th?

EDIT: Actually the evening of Jan. 25th (Saturday) might be easier for people coming from out of town. Does anybody have a preference?

Saturday would probably be easier for me, but it's hard for me to know this far in advance.

Preference for the 25th because I'd be driving up on Friday. But again, dunno for sure yet if I can come.

I don't know what universe you're living in, but January 25th, 2015 in the United States of America on the planet Earth is a Sunday.

You probably want to nail down which universe you plan to have the meetup in.

For me, Saturday and Sunday are both fine all day.  I'd be willing to meet up nearby when the meetup isn't actually happening as well, as I won't have much else to do.

Just saw this thread.  Name the time and place and my girlfriend and I will be there.  DC area or northern Virginia would be best as I live in Arlington.  Evening of Friday the 23rd, or evening of Saturday, or Sunday during the day would be best.

Andrew, I suggest making a second thread with the details in a convenient first post for everyone.  Info is being lost in the shuffle here

Actually I think your days of the week were correct if using the Julian calendar system. So you need to sort out the date, universe AND calendar system (I would recommend using Earth and the Gregorian calendar).
