Grats rspeer. Plant 32 came out at just the right time. Just... perfect.

(Neither Andrew nor I have enough cash to build up to 14 cities. Chairs can get to 15 cities but can't power them. And Walrus's best case option [OKC, Dallas, NOLA, STL], assuming no one cuts him off, leaves him $2 behind rspeer.)

This is the one major problem with Power Grid. If you're counting cash, the end result is known before resources are bought on the last round.

(I screwed up big time in the previous round, but it took me until the auctions this round to realize it.)

Those four cities cost WalrusMcFish $82 in the current state, as far as I can tell, so I think there's a bit of kingmaking that has to happen before we find out if I win, or if I lose by a dollar.

Hrm. I had counted them before at $85... but now my calculator is telling me $82 as well. It would appear that 5 plus 3 is not in fact 11. Dammit.

That said, I originally put this in a PM to theorel, and I'll put it here again now:

"In order to defeat any illusion of collusion, I intend to take as many cities as I can at the lowest costs possible. That way no one can suggest I went out of my way to play kingmaker."

I will stand by that.
