Your ranking won't be off by one or two. If it went wrong, I mixed up usernames. For example, I had myself ranked #2668 initially because my script mixed me up with "Stef Morris".

Well, I am at #66 now, and I think a month ago it could be anywhere. I can believe it was as low as #149, but it definitely can be.

I announced the date upfront and promised to use these rankings, that's the main reason for using them now.

I know. Sorry if it sounded like me complaining, I was just asking. I should have complained when R&R were posted.

The signups take a little longer then I initially planned (due to gokodom taking longer) and also I don't think it matters that much. It's not as though my list is ancient, it's just one month old.
If I could go back in time, I would probably use rankings at closing of signups indeed. Sorry to those people that made it into B or C out of nowhere, but until I hear of one actual example I have no one to feel sorry for.

Well, I think I would be one division up using today's ranking. But I do not really mind, lots of people in the C division are people I know I would enjoy playing.

Oh, you took the rankings from the full leaderboard. That explains why I'm rank 126 there. Due to lack of Isotropish rating drift, I'm still pretty much where I was a month ago.

C division is ideal for me. It's crazy that there are a lot of big names in division C out of only 4 divisions. Even Division D looks pretty formidable.

Dominion League is already looking awesome.

well, that could be accurate as of a month ago, but a month ago I hadn't played a pro game in quite some time. I have been consistantly in the top 600 on the full leaderboard for several weeks now I believe. That's still division D, but a lot higher up. I don't know if that matters much at all though.

What is DG doing in division D? He had a killer gokodom performance. His isotropish score is apparently 47.37±34.60, which I guess means he plays very well but not very often? I think he should be a division above me, not a division below me.

If you're looking for a reason for my recent drop in Pro Rating, it's because almost all of the pro games I've played in the past month have been against Nick (dethwing) who is pretty vastly underrated and has been beating me quite a lot recently -- I suspect he's gotten much better recently.

It also might have something to do with the fact that I don't have a problem just resigning pro games before turn 1 to make things easier on my stream, or something like that.

Ratings aren't important to me, so I don't make any effort to inflate mine. I'd say an iso-level of about 40 is where I'd sit if I cared about my rating, but I don't. I just want to play the game and get better at it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to single you out.  There are plenty of other examples. (See MarkowKette, same discrepancy and he's a division above me in the League even)  I just knew your rating was lower than mine already because I checked the leaderboard during the AI match the other day.  Now that I know he's going by the older leaderboard, there's no issue.

yes, even the isotropish leaderboard is pretty swingy.
I dropped from iso level 45 to level 35 within a couple of hours.
The average is probably somewhere in the middle.
Seeding at the beginning has to come from something, and like you said
the league will balance itself.

I'm happy with my ranking. I basically almost always lose against people 2 divisions up, sometimes win against people 1 division up, and am confident I can be competitive within my division so that's a good sign.

I think mine looks reasonable. I was ridiculously low before relative to my actual ability (not trying to brag or say I should be higher or anything, just I hadn't played online ranked in a while), so going up 2.3K ratings seems pretty reasonable.
