If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless your new rating is going to get you into the top half of signups (which, considering the skill of most players here, is unlikely for a new player) then you'll just end up in the lowest leagues.

And this is coming from someone whose level has increased significantly since the date the league was taken (having barely played ranked online in the few months leading up to the tournament).

I agree, I've moved up about 600 places on the rankings scale, my Goko rating is like 5200ish now (about 370th on pro leaderboard), but that's still in the bottom half. Plus also, being in the bottom half probably means you'll get more people of similar current ability, and if you're too good for it, then you can always win it & get promoted.

I made it from B to A But I was in top 6 earlier too, so that don't count

Well, I think I would be one division up using today's ranking. But I do not really mind, lots of people in the C division are people I know I would enjoy playing.

Oh, you took the rankings from the full leaderboard. That explains why I'm rank 126 there. Due to lack of Isotropish rating drift, I'm still pretty much where I was a month ago.

C division is ideal for me. It's crazy that there are a lot of big names in division C out of only 4 divisions. Even Division D looks pretty formidable.

It also might have something to do with the fact that I don't have a problem just resigning pro games before turn 1 to make things easier on my stream, or something like that.

Sorry, I didn't mean to single you out.  There are plenty of other examples. (See MarkowKette, same discrepancy and he's a division above me in the League even)  I just knew your rating was lower than mine already because I checked the leaderboard during the AI match the other day.  Now that I know he's going by the older leaderboard, there's no issue.

yes, even the isotropish leaderboard is pretty swingy.
I dropped from iso level 45 to level 35 within a couple of hours.
The average is probably somewhere in the middle.
Seeding at the beginning has to come from something, and like you said
the league will balance itself.

I'm happy with my ranking. I basically almost always lose against people 2 divisions up, sometimes win against people 1 division up, and am confident I can be competitive within my division so that's a good sign.

He's talking (I think) about the fact that the scheduling threads really clutter up the "unread posts" page if you keep up with the forum that way. It's annoying because you can only ignore entire boards or sub-boards (to stop them from displaying in unread posts), but not specific threads themselves (if someone knows of a way, please speak up!). It just makes it harder to follow the Dominion League threads that are "important".

As it turns out the solution I had (plugging in an ethernet cable) not only failed to work, but also set me back around £8.50 AND seems to have made the problem worse. I can probably return the cable at least (since I don't actually need it) but it probably means it'd be best for me to withdraw from the tournament for now, since I lose connection pretty frequently nowadays.

I think that putting the scheduling in its own sub forum, which is easy to ignore while still watching the more general threads, is the perfect solution, and has already been implemented!
