Do you pronounce "orange" the way it was originally pronounced in French?

It's not our fault the French pronounce so many of their own words wrong.

That's a word that has become a part of our language.  I would say that "haiku" is not a part of English.

At what point does a word become part of English?  I'd expect most English speakers to know what a haiku is.  It's in the dictionary.  dictionary.com says it's been in our lexicon since 1895-1900.  Is 100 years not enough?

For me that point is when I don't know it's not an English word.  I never knew orange was French until now.  Another example of a word like this is bouquet, where I know it's a French word and (I think) pronounce it like they do.

It's like how "sudgy" isn't an English word, and should be pronounced as the original "SOO-jee"

My power went out
I couldn't play dominion
It was very sad

This literally happened to me today as I got home from work.  Just re-noticed this thread and figured I should probably contribute.

So until now it was a part of English, but no longer?

I would say that "haiku" is not a part of English.
It's not only an English word, it also doesn't mean the same thing. The word applies to poems with a particular syllable scheme, as seen by the examples in the thread, whether or not they have a seasonal reference or "cutting." In Japanese terms they are senryū at best, but man we don't call them that, we call them highkoo.
