for us and only us.

i mean, it seems like basically the corporate entity behind dominion online is now "Making Fun".  the goko front page no longer exists.  so we can still call it goko, but I think it's a bit funny is all.

Can we still call it FunSockets?

Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic about Making Fun's takeover, enough that I've started playing Dominion again, added my free set that Goko gave me way back when for some reason, and am actually considering spending money on this thing.

I mean, the interface is still a pile of crap, but for now there's Salvager, which is such an impressive piece of work that MF should be paying a support contract for it. At least they're keeping the server stable from what I've seen.

I saw an ad on the front page. I'm okay with this because it implies MF is getting revenue on a per-game basis, which means they have a reason to continue to serve high use players that have already bought most/all the sets.

As far as I can tell, the ad that's appearing is for another MF game, so it's more a form of cross-promotion than it is selling ad space for revenue. Though I'm sure it would be worth them considering the value of selling ads in that spot.

Disregard this. Goko Making Fun of Sockets ate my money and everything is still bad. It's just been years since there was Isotropic and I'm desperate.

Good news, flies: they missed a spot! During the current outage, this is what their homepage looks like:

Just look at all that Goko! It lives on after all.

I considered removing the privacy policy, since after all it's completely empty, but they seem to be strongly against that plan.
