As a Chicago resident, I'd do anything in the city (obviously) and would be willing to travel to Indy, Detroit, or any other "nearby" location.

Does Minneapolis/Saint Paul count as "nearby"?

Yeah, I'd say so, but that's about it. Pittsburgh is iffy too.

I'm in NYC and would def come to Manhattan to play Dominion. I'm not super vocal around here, nor very active at all on Goko, but I was an isotropic addict. I suspect I'll get wrecked by most of the people here... but some real life Dominion would be awesome, it's been too long.

I was in Sydney last weekend and probably not going to be there again for a while, but given enough warning it's definitely a possibility. Taking the complete Dominion set on the coach will be interesting, though.

I went to WBC last year and it was a lot of fun.  Dominion tourney with about 150 participants was great.

That's a very doable trip for me... got a link to more info/registration/etc? 

On the note of being close enough for a few-day trip to Lancaster, I'm just outside Washington, DC, so I'm within fairly easy reach of Philly, NYC, Pittsburgh, and State College (someone mentioned knowing a bunch of PSU players, and I happen to be an alum, played my first game of Settlers in the HUB), and not-too-terrible reach of other eastern-US locations. 

Anyone else in/near the DC area?  Several of my local friends also play, so I could definitely see a Dominion meetup happening here.

I live in Pittsburgh (in the city) as well, and if any other Pittsburgh F.DSers would like to get together some time for a few games even outside of a large scale meetup, feel free to pm me! I do also host regular general board game nights at our house every other week that anyone is welcome to, but we naturally don't always play Dominion.

Yeah I sort of let this go to the back burner since the poll -- it seemed to have a lot of support but I can't organize anything from where I'm at and I imagine things would have to be moved along by someone who could. There seem to be some popular choices, though. I hope something ends up happening but I'm not holding my breath.

Pittsburgh was on my list, though! Let me know if something comes up and hopefully I can make it!

Thanks!  I just might go, and Lancaster isn't all that far from the big mid-Atlantic metro areas, which seem pretty well-represented in this thread (Ohio and Chicago are farther but still possible for a long weekend).  I wonder what it would take to make a decent-sized f.ds meetup happen there.

Would love to go to the WBC, but could only really make a day and I don't know that it would be worth the flight.  (Also the schedule isn't up, so it's hard to plan).
