Shanty Town always end up with someone singing, "Won't you take me to, Shantytown!"   (to the tune of Funkytown of course)

My group must be more Broadway than most. We always sing "masquerADE!" from Phantom of the Opera whenever we play that card. We also sing "dominiONNNN...dominion" to the "tradition" song from fiddler on the roof.

But my favorite is shouting BAZAAR! like I'm Mr. Miyagi.

I get the "masquerade" song stuck in my head every time i buy it, but at my friends' request have stopped singing it aloud. I also call duchy "ducky" and silver "sliver", along with: gold "glod", platinum "paltinum", and province "providence". And I pronounce nobles like "knob". This gets me some strange looks from my friends, so it's more a "me" thing than a group thing. :P

Mountebank is "that ****ing bastard."

When playing Eminent Domain, when we play Survey as an Action we say "Moat".

We generally try to translate the card name into swedish when we play. And we say the name of the cards loud and clear, with a really bad pronounciation when we don't use our swedish versions.

Also, whistling or singing Masquerade (from PotO) when the card is in the kingdom is a given.

Slaking must truly be the real name of Tactician. I think I will start calling it that. It does help that most of the people I play with IRL are Pokémon players.

I've never really used nicknames, but I do tend to say "Goons. Hired Goons."

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who does that. That line always cracks me up, and my friends do not seem to pick up on it when I say it.

I hope that there's an Aqueduct in a future expansion, because when I see that card in San Juan, I say it like in The Life of Brian.

When I play with my friend and we end up drawing Shanty Town on the board, we would spontaneously start singing the disco tune "Funky Town" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CImrIKNmBo), but replacing the words.

It first happened towards the end of an 8 hour long marathon play session, and it sort of just caught on from there.

Salvager is savager, because my girlfriend uses it so effectively against me.

Similarly, I now think of Remodel as re-modal. After she plays it, the score is generally much more bi-modal in its distribution.  It also makes me think of yodel, which can be used to describe the mournful howl I want to let go at the time.

When I'm on the losing side of a Scrying Pool game on isotropic, and my opponent is playing at least 4 scrying pools per turn, I make a playlist of "Crybaby" by Janis Joplin, "Cry Baby" by Cee-Lo Green, and any other song with "cry" in it, and sit back, imagining that they're saying "scry."

We also go with "Willage" "Douche-y" and "Rabble rabble rabble". Mountebank is "muckety muck". Buying a city is sometimes "upgrading my settlement" carried over from Catan. A Bazaar becomes "How Bizarre". And while I have been trying to get "Lieutenant Wharf" and "Mr. LaForge" to catch on, I'm apparently the only trekkie in my group.

A couple of my friends had some problems pronouncing the card names when we first played with them:

Bazaar: rhymes with "quasar"
Wharf: "wolf"
Baron: rhymes with "quran"

The first isotropic game on voice chat I played I managed to get a trimmed deck that played my single Goons every turn.. I could not resist saying "hired goons" even once
