Welcome to BM15!

When you sign up for this game, PM me with all of the languages you know, your first language, and a language you don't know that you would like to speak for this game (you may also let me decide). In your role PM, you will be told what language you must speak. If you say anything not in that language (if it uses characters other than those used in English and there is no translation for a specific word, you are allowed to use the English letters), you will be modkilled. You must still speak your language in quicktopcs. Votes are still required to be in the Vote: sudgy format. Even though this is BM, all other rules are exactly the same.

Rule are here. If they change during the course of this game, I will decide if it will change the rules of this game. If I decide so, I will post a notice in thread.

This game will have 14 day deadlines and 48 hour night deadlines.

If a majority of votes hasn't been reached by deadline, a no lynch happens.

Setup:

7 Vanilla Townies, two Mafia Goons. Mafia have their own QT and a factional kill.

Each night, all of the players will be split into three groups of neighbors. Each neighbor group will get a night action that they don't know. All of the players in the quicktopic must agree on who to do the action to. If they don't by the end of the night, it will be done to what I consider the worst possible outcome for everyone in the neighborhood.

I am treating this the same as drunk mafia given the unusual format... so it won't be eligible for stats

So is the idea that people use something like Google translate to read others' posts and write one's own posts, and the imperfections of Google translate cause hilarity to ensue?

Would people rather have a simple setup or a crazy setup? I personally want the focus to be on the languages, but if people would prefer a crazy setup they can have that.

Also, telling me what language you want isn't required.

Also also, you must speak your language in your mafia QT as well (and any others if we go that route).

I'm mostly phone posting these days so this would probably be too much of a hassle for me, but I'm available to troll the thread in finnish every once in a while if need be.

So I think it'd be fine to have some craziness, because looking at Jimmm's post, it's very easy to understand. I'm assuming Jimmm just types it in Google Translate, so when we translate it back using the same method, it probably gives us the exact same message. Which means there's not that much confusion.

I think it should be an (unenforceable) rule that you may only translate from your assigned language back to your mother tongue. Posts in other languages must be translated to your assigned language first.

So, Jimmmmm's message looks like this if you put it back through to English:

/ Tag Will this be one of those games where the rules are made up and the points do not matter, or one that is supposed to treat you like a normal game?

But if you translate to Nepali first, then back to English, you get:

/ Tag is made and points to this rule is where one of those games, or games like normal behavior that would be considered?
