Combo: Bacon & Eggs (& toast?)

Guaranteed a significant number of victory points in a short amount of time. I know, some of you might say the bacon slows you down. Indeed, like the coffee rush, it gives you the feeling of victory although victory has yet to be achieved. Thus, bacon is best when paired with something complimentary. Enter, eggs.

Eggs rock. Not only are they an excellent source of protein, eggs also contain important vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, D, E, B6, B12, and calcium, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, and folate, respectively. And the best part is, they work perfectly with bacon. See for yourself:

F T T W: 9am

F T T W cooks bacon
F T T W cooks eggs

F T T W: 10am

F T T W scores a ton of victory points

F T T W: 1pm

F T T W cooks bacon
F T T W cooks eggs

F T T W: 1:30pm

F T T W feels like a winner

F T T W: 6:30pm

F T T W cooks bacon
F T T W cooks eggs

F T T W: 6:45pm

F T T W immediately regrets eating bacon and eggs three times in one day, but feels like a champ anyway
F T T W wins life

DAY OVER

F T T W total victory points: a lot

Toast adds another dimension to this already ridiculous combo, though I haven't fully explored the possibilities. I would imagine an over medium egg would be necessary, perfectly balancing the cooked white with the runny yolk, and thus allowing the toast to soak up the yellowy goodness. But questions loom. What kind of toast is best? Wheat? White? Rye? Maybe some of the more experienced people can enlighten us.

So, in conclusion:

Bacon is good with:

  • Eggs
  • Toast

Bacon is not AS good with:

  • No eggs
  • No toast

Questions? Comments? I'm hoping this will make it onto the wiki.

I really like eggs, I just hard boil them, a great combination of healthiness and ok taste. I'm staying at a friend's house in canada now, and she made me fried eggs and bacon for breakfast yesterday. Fried eggs were okay too, but bacon I still skipped..  I dont know, everyone says its the best thing ever but it both looks and smells really questionable. Toast is of course good, but I've tried to stop buying bread of any kind in order to eat healthier.

Eggs are decent with no support, but they really shine in any omelette engine. Eggs + Onion + Green Pepper is a very common, yet quite potent combination and I'd recommend you try it next time you can. Also cheese makes a fine support in these situations. I'd recommend experimenting with different supports to fully experience just how strong eggs can be.

You forgot how well they both work with Spam.  Spam, Spam, Spam, Egg, Spam, Bacon, Spam, Spam, and Spam FTW.

Though keep in mind some people get frustrated when you just spam the same thing over and over.

Combos very very well with Coffee, too.

But, then again, Coffee is pretty dominant on its own.

Combos well, yes, but just coffee will slow you down in the end. Is it really worth that initial boost when you know you'll just become sluggish in the end?

Not a problem.  Just pick up another Coffee later.  Profit.

That's because you were served Canadian bacon.  ;)

Bacon is great, but it is really hard to cook right. Don't cook it enough and you are eating a stick of warm pig fat. Cook it too much and it burns.

Maple bacon is my favorite. Combos with pancakes.

They make tempeh bacon? I'm not a vegetarian (not anymore, anyway), but wow real bacon is incredibly unhealthy and inflammatory. At least with meats, the more unhealthy cooking methods lead to better taste thanks to all that golden brown.

There really is an eggs/toast combo. It's called French toast. It's hard to cook just right though.

Masquerade is still the best opening for this kind of deck, though.

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.
