Please note that it's not particularly well-formatted as of this point; I'll get on that shortly.  However, the first round's pairings should be obvious.

The winner of each match should post the final score, and links to their logs, in this thread.  Ideally, nothing else should get posted here!  However, lots of people also like discussing the matches.  Please also post links to the game logs in the Discussion thread here.

Results for GokoDom III Week 1 are due by 24 February 2014 at 0400 PST -- 0700 EST -- 1200 UTC.

A quick note for newbies to the tournament:

You should send a private message to your opponent... now.  Don't wait for them to do it!  If you get no response after a couple of PMs, let me know by PM.  Hopefully, though, you'll get a response, and you should set up a time--and probably choose a room to meet in.  Be certain that you coordinate time zones with your opponent, lest one of you show up at 12 noon and the other at 6 PM...

dnkywin and I played our match today. However, I think we need a ruling on a matter of the rules. We've just reviewed the rules, and seen that we didn't quite understand them properly while playing. Here's what happened:

As I study the rules ex post facto, it now appears as if we should have stopped after round four, with me ahead 3-1. ("A player wins the match if after 3 or 4 games, s/he has 3 game points.") But we didn't know that, and kept playing to a 3-3 tie. Can the tournament organisers make a ruling, please, as to how to score the match? It was either a tie or I won; I'm happy to go with whatever is decided. Sorry for the confusion!

Ruling:  secret tunnel wins this match, as it should have ended after the first four games.

We haven't played so far. I had problems with Goko running on the laptop which I used during the week, so we rescheduled our game for Sunday evening when I'm back home. Marin did not appear - it turns out he forgot about the match. He wrote me about this today, I'm waiting online, if he happens to join, we'd play the game.

I see the deadline has passed, so if you get to filling the results and making a new round, I think we should get a draw by default result, as I feel my low availability during the week was also a reason for the games being not played.
