Twitter.
So I guess a bunch of speedrunners use Twitter as a way to alert people to when they're streaming. I guess this is really popular since you can have Twitter groups or something that people can just subscribe to if they want to know when people are streaming a particular game. Like, I dunno, Dominion.
As you can tell, I'm not familiar with Twitter at all. I don't have an account.
But this does sound more elegant than using a thread here on the forums, and I know a lot of people don't like to use Twitch's built-in following notification thing because it doesn't work a lot of the time. I think we can use it to post notifications of when we'll stream in the future, as well as when we're going live (much like the threads do here)
Is this a good idea? Should we do this? Will it actually work the way I think it will? I mean, a lot more people are starting to stream now and we may be outgrowing these forum threads. I'd really like to find ways to expand the audience we reach with our streams, now that there's a decent and refined amount of content out there.
