Code: [Select]
Lighthouse, Scheme, Cutpurse, Monument, Scavenger, Cache, Catacombs, Vault, Venture, Harem
How to never have a bad hand:  2 schemes+scavenger.  Play scheme.  Play scavenger.  Put scheme on top of deck.  Buy gold.  Put scavenger on top of deck. (or play 2 schemes, the scavenger and put a gold on top of the deck)  After turn 6 I didn't have less than 6 coin in my hand.  (except for once at the end after being silly and using a venture which messed up my "engine")

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.

I am surprised neither of you choose either Vault or Catacombs for a terminal!

By the way, how does Vault-money compare to Catacombs-money?

Without a simulator verifying, I'd say Vault should be superiour in general, but if your opponent opens Cutpurse here, Catacombs is another strong possibility.
And Scavenger itself isn't bad at BM at all (especially in Colony games)

Yeah.  In no way am I saying that my opponent played an optimal game.  (i mean, he went cutpurse/scheme.  Not great) I just had a bit of fun with the scheme/scavenger strategy and I happened to win.  I think it is somewhat instructive in ways to use scavenger, which is why I posted the game.  (and because I had fun trying to win based purely on shuffle luck)

common problem with scavenger tricks is, e.g., drawing both scavengers.  here you're immune from that kind of problem: if you draw both schemes, it's actually even better for you cuz you can top-deck gold.
