I was thinking of just getting the ones that add races/powers (Cursed, Grand Dames, Be Not Afraid), and possibly Underground.I have underground; it's pretty cool. The new powers and abilities seem more powerful than the original, but they're interesting. It also introduces relics and places of power, which are special items you can uncover that give abilities (similar to racial abilities). Those items and places can then be conquered by other players, so it becomes another consideration for how you expand. My hesitance with Underground is that it seems more like a variant than an actual expansion. How much room is there for mixing and matching races/powers from the original and Underground?

Witherweaver is a smart person.
Ooo - one more question - can I conquer with Ghouls the turn I put them into Decline?
Quote from: werothegreat on December 28, 2013, 04:15:30 pmOoo - one more question - can I conquer with Ghouls the turn I put them into Decline?Going into decline still takes your entire turn, so you don't get a conquest phase. At least that's how I'd interpret it. Probably you can find some examples in that FAQ: http://www.daysofwonder.com/en/msg/?th=22605&start=0
Has anyone played the mobile app? Some of the reviews say it's pretty buggy.

I have two more questions that aren't in the FAQ:How do Shadow Mimes determine how many tokens they get? From the Special Power they randomly get assigned, or the Special Power they switch into? When passing over Cursed Homunculi, do you have to drop 3 Homunculus tokens onto them?
When picking a Race and Special Powercombo (p. 4), if you select the ShadowMimes you may immediately swap theirSpecial Power with the Special Power ofyour choice, from among the 5 othersvisible in the list of combos. You do not swap or pick up thecoins (if any) that may be on the Combo initially associatedwith the Special Power you are mimicking. You only swap theSpecial Power.
The player places his combo selection face up in front of him,and picks a number of matching Race tokens in the removablestorage tray equal to the sum of the values indicated on theRace banner and its associated Special Power badge.
