My reads in M-III, sorry. Dropped an I.

15052

All in one post. Jo has the ultimate "anybody but me" syndrome... And it comes across so irksome scummy.

I was actually very conscience NOT to use that word, because one thing Pops DOES have right is confusing "disliked playstyle" and "scum" (in the sense that scum = mafia".

I think Pops is scummy. I think Jo has been... Well, irksome.

Jo COULD be scum. Robz claims that Pops has been to obvious (to be Mafia), but has no issues lynching Jo, who has dug himself deeper holes than anybody else. These two altering statements from somebody I trust has me a bit concerned.

Why would Robz defend Pops?

It's just... Really confusing. I broke away from my gut instinct D1, which said to lynch Jo. Instead I followed a false read into lynching Axxle1. Given my track record on reads in M-II, it's no surprise I would be a little more uncertain now.

Pops is my strongest scum READ. Jo is who my gut says to lynch. So yeah, I'm trying to figure out NOW what would be gained by voting against my reads, should Jo flip town.

Then again, O would probably tell me I'm over thinking it. In M-I and M-III, success came down to the roles getting results. That takes time. Pops conceivably COULD be a PR (he hasn't reached L-1 with imminent hammer yet, which is where he would claim). Jo HAS claimed VT already, so if he's Mafia, he can't fakeclaim at this point...

Gah! Yes, this post rambled. Just stream of conscience.

DSell isn't going to answer any prodding

Just to clarify:

- I have not prodded Dsell because he is on V/LA, returning in a few days if I recall correctly.
- If a lynch occurs while Dsell is still on V/LA, Night 2 will be extended until around 18-24 hours after Dsell's return.

Agreed - I meant prodding from me / Galz regarding what the plan would be if J is lynched, not Mod Prodding. Should have been  more clear.

I know it's been noted before, but just looking at Jo's last post:

"I'm good with lynching Galz"
"I want to lynch Pops"
"Someone mentioned a Gruj wagon. I'm good with that"

All in one post. Jo has the ultimate "anybody but me" syndrome... And it comes across so irksome.

Vote Count 2-13

Galzria (1): popsofctown
O (1): SwitchedFromStarcraft
jotheonah (4): Dsell, Tables, Robz888, Axxle
popsofctown (3): Galzria, jotheonah, Glooble
Glooble (1): O

Not voting {2}: Grujah, Captain_Frisk

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch

Lynch Deadline:  Monday, June 25, 9:59 a.m. EDT

So it looks like we stalled again.

I'm looking at the above and I'm struggling.  Galz's pops argument I found convincing - but I look at the rest of the wagon (the scumtwins) and I get nervous.  The J wagon has less suspicious characters (pops' scumcusations of Axxle2 not withstanding)

Those on the J bandwagon - If we lynch J - and he turns up town - what have we learned? Where do we go next?

Those on the popswagon - I assume if he flips town we lynch Galz?

I asked those questions not long ago. I'd be willing to lynch J if I got a good answer, but thus far I have not.

15055
Hey dead townie QTers... Crazy is currently 2-0 as town  ;)

That's ok, I won't hold it against you

15056
Even considering switching your vote is so double-plus-un-RobZ that I remain confident in my vote... Your unRobzness will be revealed shortly.

I obviously can't stop you from switching, but doing so just proves that you are not RobZ.

If you were truly Robz you would be aware that vote switching remains a possibility.  I am Robz, and let me tell you, I recently switched my vote in MIV.  My vote switching is improbable, sure.  But not impossible.

If you are so against switching, why are you not going after Galzrobzia?  He didn't just contemplate switching, he actually went and did it.

I wait... What? I have never switched my vote during a day! How dare you accuse me of such!

Oh wait, whoops.  I thought you had voted for me today, but no, that was only yesterday.  My bad!  Even Robz makes mistakes sometimes.

Another lie I see.....you are digging your own grave here. Keep going Mr Faker (if that IS your real name!)

Nah, every Robz gets one mulligan. I was picking in him driving for reactions pretty hard at the start of D2. He's where my D1 vote landed after all. So I could see him thinking that I had cast my vote on him D2 as well.

If we lynched everyone on the occasional misstep, there would be nobody left. Not even Robz is that perfect ALL the time (although I DO try to be!).

15057
You were largely suspicious to me because you jumped all over my relaxing my reads on J.

I mean, I was getting:

"please consider other options!"

"please consider other options!"

"please consider other options!"

...

"Ok, we're near the deadline, I'll consider other options"

...

"He must be Mafia! He's considering other options instead of sticking to what he believes! /voteGalzria!"

...

Well, you can imagine how I suddenly saw you in a rather scummy light.

Yeah, sorry about that.  FWIW, I wasn't asking you to consider other options (as far as I can remember).  I was asking for you to present a strong case, because at that point I thought your case was really weak.  But as I mentioned above, I realized upon reading back that I actually thought you made good points the first time you spoke up against jo.  I just misremembered my own feelings.  Can't remember how that happened exactly.  I think I was getting suspicious of Robz and just didn't like how much you were defending him, though in hindsight you were correct to do so.

Oh, and I don't think any of us thought jo was cleared after his d1 claim -- we just thought that he shouldn't be lynched until investigative roles had a chance to check him out.

And yet proper investigative roles would have checked him out clean. ;)

Still, for all of that, you were lowest on my list. Mafia #3, interchangeable with a handful of others.

I was stoked when I called Michaeljb's NK by the Mafia though. On the other hand, I had him listed as toss-up with Yuma as the other target...  Glad you guys caught him in a lie. He might've gotten away with it otherwise...

For the record when I get to be mafia I will ruin you Robz ;), you'll stay alive so I can outdebate you.

EDIT: That said you will of course know that I'm mafia

Note to self: if past D2, and Insomniac and Robz are still alive, lynch Insomniac.

15062
Ahh, so much Meta to be had from M-III.

Let's see... Let's just get it ALL out, then we can move on:

I pegged Jo and Volt as scum D1, but didn't know how to play town myself, and got lynched for it.

Robz pegged Eevee and Volt D1, but didn't know how to play town well, and almost got lynched for it. He did die to the Mafia N1 for being on the right track (3 Mafia who are not in this game)

Jo played steady, but increasingly erratic as preassure grew. He roleclaimed after some, but not a lot, of suspicion was cast his way.

Axxle joined in, inherited Cop, and played a strong game leading the town from dark times. He was assertive when needed, and vague when it served. Very directional thinker.

O played a straight forward game. He had me in fumes early, but I believe that is his style of play. It hasn't bugged me so much this game, but probably because I expect it. He wasn't overly helpful to the town in any lynches driven, but he didn't get himself lynched, which was very valuable at the end.

Dsell played erratic, with many scum tells, and might've been lynched if not for roles providing better targets. He's appeared to play less scummy here - take from that what you will.

Does that covert it all? Can we move forward now? I really don't like meta-gaming. I'll use out lightly, but never to build a case around one way or another.

15063
So now that MIII is over, I can say some things I wanted to say about Galzria Jotheonah.

I thought he has been behaving pretty similarly but not exactly this game as in MIII, where he was scum.  He's behaving differently enough that I think he's more likely mafia than SK.

Wait, whys my name crossed out?? What did I do?

XXX

Never mind. *deletes post* I hadn't read Jo's post prior to yours. Makes sense now.

I had J and Volt as hard scum reads D1. At first I thought as a team, but Jo's roleclaim made me realize he was the SK.

What I never did understand is why so many people reacted to the Roleclaim with "oh, ok. That settles it then. He's clean." :-/

Still, like I said in the QT and discussion thread, real tip of the hat to Yuma. Leaving D1 (and for most of the game) you had most of us dead townies reading you wrong.

I was sure about Volt. Robz was sure about Eevee. He thought Dsell made number 3, and I thought eHal made number 3. So well done.

15066
Also, and you can't disagree, I guarantee you if grujah were at-the-keyboard he would happily be voting on one of the leading wagons.

Grujah's absence is an entirely different can of worms. He is well, well below the AC.
AC?

Mafia Game Threads / Re: Mafia III Discussion
« on: June 20, 2012, 01:17:36 pm »
Well done team. Yuma was the only black crow for me. I was sure about Volt as Mafia, and Jo as SK.

Robz was sure about Eevee and Volt as Mafia.

What we couldn't decide on was who was #3. He had Dsell listed tops, I had eHalcyon listed tops. So tip of the hat to Yuma, you had us both fooled leaving D1.

Also, eH, you got WAY lucky with your jail of Yuma N4. It was game over there if you miss.

Other props go to Axxle, for playing a great cop, and leading the town to brighter days.

Yay!

15068
You know, eRobzyon (see, I don't stoop to name calling. I been debate better than anyone here without needing to resort to those tactics), as much as I dislike your odds of being Robz (and I've made my views quite clear), I'm still very cautious and suspicious of the lurkers - as someone else was so kind to point out. After all, while you may be the best fakeRobz here, you're certainly not the only one, and I can't let nonRobz's hide in the shadows pretending any longer. That is far more egregious anti-Robz play than anything I've yet seen.

Your arguments against me are misguided, paper-thin, and at times completely nonexistent - but mostly they're just wrong. Nonetheless, I won't persecute you over making a bad case. Your other actions speak for themselves. For now however, I need to hear from the lurkers before making a decision.

Hey, I called for the lurkers to speak up on d1 as well.

Again, directed at eHalcyon:

Well sir, count this your lucky day. I did not expect to truly see anti-Robz behavior that exceeded your own and yet... And yet... I present to you (and everybody else) Captain C.F. Robz. A man who spends the entirety of D2 lurking, not posting. When called out for his Anti-Robz behavior, he comes forth and drives home the point that he IS NOT Robz.

You see, not only would Robz not have been hiding in the shadows to begin with, he would never have jumped straight in on the very first post with a vote without an explanation or case against. All he justified his vote with was "I am 100% sure" - odds so ridiculous I'll be rolling over in my grave about for years after my death. Everybody knows Robz doesn't like when Galzria uses silly percentages (especially because he has a tenancy to be ridiculously high as well).

To continue, even if Captain figured, "well hey, that Galzrobzia made a pretty good case, I think I'll just go with that", since WHEN  has Robz been so easily persuaded? Never. Captain IS NOT Robz, and at the risk of leaving 3 eRobzyon votes out there, I'm willing to stake my name on a Captain lynch today.

I find your sudden change of heart interesting and rather unrobzy.  Nonetheless, you do provide a compelling argument against Captain_RobZ.  I agree -- his immediate vote sans reasoning is extremely suspicious, even more than your day 1 haste.

I am loathe to switch my vote against you but I will watch the situation.  It is better to lynch scum than no lynch, so I am willing to switch to the Captain if it means we can rid our town of scum.  However, I still feel you are one of the most dangerous here.

There was a reason I had yet to vote for you. I play my best when I can apply pressure and see how a person reacts. Not only was I gauging you, I was gauging others. I still believe there to be a strong chance that you are not Robz. But your actions pale in comparison to the truly anti-Robz behavioral patterns of the Captain.

Your case against me was bad. His case against you didn't exist. You could just be misguided. He is not Robz.

15069

Grujah's absence is an entirely different can of worms. He is well, well below the AC.

15070
Pops, I've got to ask, because I honestly disagree strongly, but you've said two things today that don't sit right with me:

#1. You claimed to be the likeliest choice for lynch D2, but never gave an explanation as to why. It sounded very survivalist. "Don't lynch me, I'm too obvious!"

#2. You claimed that I am somehow above being lynched. Again, like above, it reads as a reverse psychology play. In question 1 you say you're likely to be lynched, to prevent it from happening. In question 2 you say I'm unlynchable, in an attempt to rile the town into lynching me.

Both are very odd things to say - so I'm not quite sure what to make of them.

In regards to the second point, I am NOT above being lynched, although doing so without a solid plan to lynch scum after my death would be a mistake. If a townie dies today instead of Mafia, I want them to do so giving us the best chance at Mafia tomorrow. That stands for my own death as well as any others.

15071
Also, it's clear by the way that eRobzyon's bandwagon filled up so quickly that there are many non-Robz's aboard. I'm going to stick to my guns and vote THE MOST suspicious, anti-Robz actioned person in this thread - the one who jumped at an easy target, with no justification or case made against.

Vote: Captain_Robz

15072
Also, I have reason to believe that Galzria has most un-Robz-like ulterior motives for attempting to redirect the lynch, and so should be looked upon with suspicion.

Nice way to hedge.

But...Robz doesn't hedge....

Allow me to rephrase for clarity:

@Jo

"Nice Hedge"

Vote: eRobzyon

I'm not sure about his other names, but I'm 100% confident that eRobzyon is not RobZ.

I been debate better than anyone here without needing to resort to those tactics

That said, this atrocious grammar clearly does not represent the written powers of the real RobZ.

To be fair, auto-correct has never been kind, and although I cannot go back and correct mistakes, my intent in saying CAN instead of BEEN was clear enough. For all that I do, even I cannot be perfect all of the time. If I miss a spelling error here or there, I do sincerely apologize.
