Demand has a similar wording for gaining two cards. The rule book says: "The Horse goes on top first, then the card costing up to does".
Thus, I would say there is no choice. The cheaper card is gained first, and then the Gold.

Edit: Spelling.

This actually came up in a game I was in yesterday, but I opted not to try it. The Horse gain would have made Destrier cost $4, and I wanted to know if the target could be chosen after gaining the Horse or not...

The Horse is gained as soon as you click Demand, and the Destrier price changes accordingly and is choosable.

On second thought, I think Stockpile doesn't work, since there's no way to play it again when all of them are in the exile. You can have a total of 55 plays from 10 Stockpiles, but not infinite.

You can trash Stockpiles and gain them from the trash to move them out of Exile. I admit I haven't read the entire discussion, so I'm not certain this is relevant in context.

How do I set up a game with three friends of my choice on Dominion Online? In other words, not random players, but people I've invited to a game.

Follow up on that question: can I choose the cards I want to play with? I like being able to choose which games have Attacks in them, and other things like that.

When you create a table, there is a "Select Kingdom Cards" button. Which allows you to control the kingdom in various ways. You can specify some/all of them (can take a comma separated list), or say 3 cards from Menagerie expansion, or just check which expansions you'd like cards from, or control the number / type of landscapes, colonies/shelters.

That's correct, but also I don't think it's even a requirement that you be the one to set up the table. One of your friends could be the table host and if you are a player the cards are still available.

Yes, once the game reloads as unrated the outcome doesn't impact your level.

I tried to find a specific description of what happens in four player, but couldn't turn anything up. Here is Stef's (the developer) description of the 3p case:

Without really knowing, I'd guess it's exactly the same as 3p (1.5 wins for everyone against the resigning player).

Hi all, apologies if this is covered somewhere, have searched but... playing 3p game was in the lead. 3rd player resigns - game becomes unrated - who gets any rating points? Does the reisgning player face any penalty (as in the 2p game)

The ratings are updated as if the two remaining players got 1.5 wins against the resigning player. So there's an additional rating penalty for resigning from 3p games.

I liked Chapter 9 a lot. I didn't pay good attention to the wavedashing guide and ended up doing everything with what is apparently called hyperdashing, made some screens way harder than they should have been. Didn't realize it until I saw some stuff online.

That's really weird.  That's the URL of the product I ordered.  In my cart, it still shows a picture of Renaissance, but when I click on it, it goes to the base game.  It definitely was Renaissance a few days ago, no reviews, etc.  It would be real annoying to end up with the wrong thing here.

I can confirm that even though Amazon's page changed for a while, my copy of Renaissance did arrive today.

Just to close the loop on this, despite the oddness with the Amazon listing, I too received the correct game.

Unfortunately, there are printing issues.  The scroll borders on Cargo Ship, Ducat, Patron, Scepter, and Spices (but not Research, strangely) are very faded; like the printer was running low on ink or something.  I've reached out RGG already.  Here's hoping mine is just a one off and this isn't a widespread issue.

They are all like that. The layout sent to the printer was lighter for everything but Research.

They become Treasures (if the inherited card becomes one). The effect of Inheritance is supposed to give them text in my understanding. And IIRC Donald at least agreed on the outcome. One other argument is that the set aside card becomes a Treasure, so the Estates copy that independly of them being directly affected by Capitalism.
Well if this is so, then we can have a quintuple-type card by Inheriting Dame Sylvia in Capitalism!

EDIT: Werewolf Inherited will be a sixtuple type!

Capitalism does nothing to Werewolf.

As with basically every puzzle question posted since Empires, the answer is almost certainly "infinite".

I'm sure it is as well, but this one is at least nominally interesting as you have to play Treasures repeatedly for it to work. Hard mode: no Black Market

There's already the Overlord/Crown/Mandarin loop that allows you to pull treasures out of play and use them again, I'm sure it can be modified for this with either BM or Storyteller.

At first I thought the new cards are fun, but when I saw that Ducat is strictly better that Candlestick Maker, I got very disappointed.
There are so many cards in Dominion that care about whether something is an Action, or whether something is a Treasure. On the whole, being a non-terminal Action is a lot better than being a Treasure, but in any case, they are a lot different. I'm not even sure whether the trashing ability makes up for the type disadvantage, but we'll see.

We add Library, Village, Trader, Pathfinding and Expedition to the kingdom. The setup is this:

Trash down deck with Trader to just 7 Villages, 4 Overlords, Watchtower, Trader, Wish, trashing all Silvers in the process.

The turn before, buy Expedition. Put +1 card token on Overlord.

Start of turn: 7 Villages in hand. Play all, drawing 4 Overlords, Watchtower, Trader, Wish. Now we do:

play Wish (gain Crown, reveal Trader to nothing)
play Overlord (drawing Overlord) as Crown
-- play Overload as Crown
---- play Overload as Crown
------ play Overload as Crown
-------- play Overlord as Raze (trash itself)
-------- play Overlord as Lurker (gain Mandarin, reveal Watchtower to trash)
-------- topdeck 4 Overlords
------ play Overload as Lurker (gain Overlord, topdeck it)
---- play Overload as Leprechaun (trash Gold with Watchtower, topdeck Wish)
-- play Overload as Library, draw Wish + 4 Overlords

This looks like it works to me, so these are just nitpicks on the write up: I count 5 Overlords needed in the deck, and the Library doesn't really draw that much because the last 3 Overlord plays all draw a card (I don't think you even need the Library or other draw with +card on Overlord).

There is no Goat pile, or Pouch pile, or Cursed Gold pile.  There is no way to gain an Heirloom, just as there is no way to gain a Shelter.  You can be passed one by Masquerade, or it can start in your starting deck: that's it.

You can gain Lucky Coin and Cursed Gold from the trash with Rogue/Graverobber.
