How much security do you need to play dominion? If you are really concerned use a different email address. You aren't giving them credit card data. Worse case scenario someone steals the deck designs you built? Or plays games under your name?

Maybe I'm not paranoid enough, but I'm pretty sure the incentive is limited to break into accounts without money attached to them.

If someone breaks into my amazon account, that's bad, but if they break into my Economist account and start reading articles and extending my subscription for me I think I'll be ok...

Um, if we don't give them credit card info, how are we supposed to purchase the expansions? Do they have some third-party payment system set up?

EDIT: Also, I'm not going to log into a site which allows other users to redirect me to a site filled with malware. Do you actually understand anything about security, or about the complaints people are leveling against Goko?

Be careful, though. Say you have Caravan, Spy, Village, Copper, Silver, Gold in play and you play Counterfeit. You choose to play Horn of Plenty with Counterfeit. You gain a Province because you have 8 differently-named cards in play. Then you trash Horn of Plenty. When you play Horn of Plenty the second time (via Counterfeit), you can only gain a card costing up to $7.

You play it twice BEFORE trashing it.

But if you gain a Victory card when playing Horn of Plenty the first time, Horn of Plenty trashes ITSELF immediately.

I didn't notice until just now that if you reveal 2 cards costing from $3 to $6 when an opponent plays a Knight, you (the victim) get to choose which one to trash. That's something, I guess.

Same with Rogue.

Im pretty sure the first acheivement badge should be getting the thing to load...  second one appears to be properly entering the capture text.

I wish I hadn't gotten that second achievement. I already feel pretty stupid giving them my main email address, given that they have zero security in place.

The beta seemed pretty solid, and I misplaced my trust.

'Misprinted' does not mean 'badly designed'. Printing errors happen. Even if Donald and the playtesters perfected a card, it could conceivably be misprinted. You can stop feeling offended now.

Really you were insulting my ability to proofread. And hey there was an error caught at the last minute by Georg, the German translator (Hunting Grounds said "when this is trashed" rather than "when you trash this").

Hey dude, I didn't start this thread. Also, I have no idea how the proofreading/printing process works. For all I knew, you OKed a bunch of lines of text and they got added onto the actual cards later. All I knew is that the thread said 'misprint' and some dude thought it meant 'badly designed'. So I clarified. Sorry you felt insulted.

$6 is right, I think. You play the bank, its in play so the second play of it is $3 since there are two treasures in play. Then you trash it.

Uh, wut? If there are 2 Treasures in play, Bank is worth $2.

$5 for the old promos, I'm guessing. If there were a new promo at GenCon, I think somebody would have mentioned it by now.

Yes, because if your opponent trashes your card, you still get the bonus.

Your opponents can never trash your cards. They can cause you to trash your own cards with various attacks, but they never trash your cards.

EDIT: Either it's just inconsistent wording, or there's a difference between trashing a card and a card being trashed. Perhaps you can trash a Fortress, but it's not actually trashed? I'm probably overthinking this.

The other upgraded card is Mercenary. There are 10 Mercenaries whenever there are Market Squares.

I'm confused as to how a Market Square magically turns into a Mercenary.

I think it can probably gain you Mercenaries without trashing itself. So you hire Mercenaries in the Market Square.

EDIT: It wouldn't surprise me if Market Square's reaction component gained you a Mercenary.

According to what we've heard, it's a Kingdom card pile. You can only buy the one on top, presumably.

But according to that randomizer site they cost zero?

I'm guessing that's a placeholder because they don't all have the same cost.
