Unfortunately I misjudged and -played the last one so badly, finding sleep was a little hard.

Anyway, farewell to league dominion for me for now. Thank you also for organising it, maybe I can join in for some commentating here and there.

Also, Stef, when making groups, please note that I have not played (due to Lent) for a month, and so my ratings on both Goko and the isotropish leaderboard are not accurate.  I usually am around 5800 - 6000 on Goko, and Level 40ish on Isotropish (although that might be off, since I rarely look at that).

If we both get seated as high as possible (and in different leagues) and you feel underrated, we can swap seats, if you're so focused on this level thing.

If you aren't going to shuffle your deck before the end of the game, buying anything that doesn't give VP is useless.

Except for
a) desired 3-pile-endings.
b) situations where you are behind and have a chance to get closer by playing goons/monuments or giving curses but risk a 3-pile-ending by buying VP (or game end when only provinces/colonies are left).

Might be even more, this is just what came to my mind immediately.

Choosing early 5 strategy is interesting here, but to take a junk dealer with 5 would frustrate me here.


Why not going governor each time you've 5, and take a better trasher than junk dealer the faster you can : Forge ?

i dont like to draw cards with governor but here it can very good to have very fast a little deck

This. Or get a 2nd spice merchant if you happen to hit 4$ again. I find getting 2nd spice merchant underrated in general.

i'm also pretty skeptical of the early potion buy. i would expect some unbearable 3P hands in a sea hag slog.

what do people think of a silver/moat opening, hoping to get a TP into the deck ASAP?

Same here. And also the moat/silver idea. I'm not completely convinced, yet, but I think it's playable.

There's nothing wrong with going jack into wharf engine. You don't want to buy treasures (which you did), though, before you got a decent engine running. The more games I played, the more I got convinced it doesn't even matter exactly which 5$ card you buy in which order unless you got 1 upgrade for jack/farming village into duchy.
