Shouldn't it be " or more"
Giraffe is completely broken. Open Giraffe/Copper and then for the rest of the game you can buy a Province whenever you draw it.Only the first time. Then the province would get in the way.
I bet people who randomize don't replay many kingdoms.they don't have to re-randomize. they could play it again. At least if they're playing the paper version.
To the OP: the serious answer to your question is that there isn't an ideal Black Market deck, because the strength of a given Black Market deck depends on what's in the rest of the Kingdom.so skip the ones above in your black market.
This is because the value of Black Market is that it lets you buy pieces for your engine that aren't available in the Kingdom.
Thus, it's awesome to buy Chapel from the Black Market if there's no trashing in the main kingdom; but you'll probably ignore BM Chapel if you already have strong trashers like Remake or Donate or Junk Dealer in your deck. The same can be said for BM being the only source of +Buy, or Villages, or Cursers.
Yes, there are some cards that are terrible in the Black Market, as noted above; others, like Prince, or Outpost, or Goons, or even a more modest cards like Trade Route and Candlestick Maker can give your deck an ability that other players don't have, which can be great.
my standards for opponents are "want to play dominion and are in the same place as me and also one or more dominion boxes"It's way easier to say "Want to play dominion" Makes it even easier
then why peddler?ThatsTheJoke.jpgTreasure MapFools gold in the black market piule would make it useless, and Avanto withut sauna, Fools gold, Avanto, Kings castle, Cultist, port, and Gladiator are all useless without another card from their pile.
Fool's Gold
Port
King's Castle
Avanto
Magpie
Cultist
Transmute
Peddler
Villa

Doesn't work with heirlooms
you discard one to plaza, to get one coffer, play swashbuckler, to get another coffer. do this twice, then you have a treasure chest.Plaza+Swashbuckler
Don't have a discard pile for Swashbuckler, perhaps because you have a deck-drawing engine? Plaza will give you one, and help you get to 4 Coffers for the Treasure Chest in the process.
And speaking of engines, Plaza is a Village variant and Swashbuckler is a Smithy variant, meaning you'll already want to play a Plaza before your Swashbuckler. So not only do you make Swashbuckler's bonus more reliable and effective, but you get this by doing exactly what you wanted to do anyway.
But you have to Discord 4 treasures before zur Swashbuckler that its working, right? Because you first draw the 3 cards.
The under the line should say
When another player gains a victory card, you may set this aside to gain a card that costs less than that card. At the start of your next turn, put this into your hand. The old one had weird wording such as and starting a sentence.
Seems like a good place for me to make sure I know how to use this fancy Chrome Extension.Kingdom is for multiple card names to turn into images.
Butcher
[cardImage]Moat[/cardImage]
[kingdom]13895351[/kingdom]
All right, I guess I don't know what the kingdom button or the card image button do.
I had a donut with maple syrup and bacon as the topping while playing Dominion. Does that count?Sadly no
It's Small CastleI had a game where I kept trashing that Castle that is an action card where if you trash it, you can a castle. (Not sure what the name is.)
How do you can a castle?
With lions I meant metaphorical. Whenever I’m working at the zoo and I hear the lion roar I always pause what I’m doing sometimes not even realizing it.Also, everything sort of goes silent after.
the art on the trash card is better than the mat in my opinionWhy do you even need a trash mat?Mostly for noobs to explain the concept of the trash. Plus awesome art.
I assume so. I haven't tried with more than 4No. Social deduction games are the only boardgames which function well at this player count. Not so. Games which allow simultaneous action by multiple players are another obvious category that scales well to high player counts. Especially drafting games. Things like Sushi Go Party! or even the classic Pit.
Edit: just asked BoardGameGeek to list games in my collection which take 8 players. So, non-social-deduction games I reckon play fine with 8 include: 6-nimmt!, Apples to Apples, Articulate!, Boggle, Ca$h 'n Guns, Cards Against Humanity, Codenames, Joking Hazard, Penultima, Pit, Sushi Go Party!
I'd also like to mention Magic Maze. That game has really taken me by surprise.
Does Citadels work well with eight players?
They’re all the same. The * and + are just reminders that there’s something special about buying the card; it’s not really part of the cost. But when you click on a card on the wiki at the bottom it says cards costing 3+ as if it's different
