Do you mean top 20 as favorite or top 20 as most powerful?

Out of all the new cards to come out, one thing is for certain, Sauna/Avanto is crazy powerful. However, I wonder if the community truly understands when to properly buy cards from this pile. Sauna/Silver is a very popular opening and seems a foregone conclusion in most games, but is this correct opening on most boards?
What I've noticed is that losing the Sauna split is not as bad as losing the Avanto split. The player to get 3 Avantos has a huge advantage over the player who has 3 Saunas but 2 Avantos. So, to me, it would seem that you would want to position yourself to actually win the Avanto split even if that means just getting 2 Saunas. Getting 1 Sauna really sucks though.
Silver/Silver while will likely mean you might lose the Sauna split will mean later on you will have more buying power and also more trashing power. Hitting 5 becomes easier. Also, it might be worth noting what other engine pieces are on the board, most notably things that give +Buy. Opening Silver and a +Buy component might be better than going for a Sauna. Also, if strong trashing is on the board and good villages and draw, you might want to ask if it is worth pursuing Sauna/Avantos after all. For instance Wharf is crazy good and if Junk Dealer or Chapel is on the board, it might be worth considering skipping the Sauna/Avanto pile.
Anyway, I'm not so much trying to give advice as to figure out myself what is the best strategy on Sauna/Avanto boards. Thoughts?
Because they have +buy, and every card with +buy is much better with Princess as you get more bang for your buck.
Princess does have one pretty significant combo which is always present: itself.
You could ask for +buy or cost reduction. You should swap Princess and Followers from that list.
Why do you think princess is better than follower
If you're the only one with access to +buy, you're very likely to win. If you're the only one with access to cost reduction in a kingdom with plenty of +buy available, you're very likely to win. At least one of those statements is almost always true when you get Princess, which is to say that you're very likely to win if you get Princess.
Followers is not that game-deciding. It's just a weaker version of Margrave that hands out junk cards to both players.
I know, but you draw two cards which can be very good and then you get that estate which gets you a point ( which would be better if you had inheritance ) then they get a curse which gets a junk card in their hand and loses them a victory point then they have to discard down to three which can be very painful, what else could you ask for
True but follower is really good with cards that favor estates like pasture, baron and inheritance
Princess doesn't have very many combos that I can think of right off the top of my head
Princess combos:
Workshop, Festival, Market, Artisan, Pawn, Baron, Bridge, Ironworks, Coutrier...
These are just from Base and Intrigue.
Wouldn't you know it, your ranking of the prizes matches with the overall community consensus for 2017:

That isn't to say there are no differing opinions about the prizes.
Edit: oh you Had Diadem in last instead of Bag of Gold. It was a still a close margin this year for those two prizes.

Philosopher's Stone at #5? You'll struggle to find many to even rank it in the top five Potion-cost cards.
You should swap Princess and Followers from that list.
