Dominion General Discussion / Re: Marchland

Marchland has arrived at the BGG Store.
I've been a long-time user of the Mayday Standard since they are thinner so take up less storage space -- and since they are cheaper figured having to replace some wouldn't be a big deal. Early on, I ran into the issues you are describing with inconsistency in size -- Mayday was always good to replace ones that were too tight. Recently this has been less of an issue. I have replaced very few broken sleeves over the years, but the sleeves on the starter cards are definitely showing more wear. Were your Mayday ones Standard or Premium? I've been sleeving my cards with Mayday Premium sleeves from the outset. I have, however, played with other people's sets that have been sleeved with the Standard ones. I felt they were rather flimsy. One criticism I would make of the Mayday cards is that quality control of size seems to be poor. I've had some sets of sleeves that Dominion cards have only just fitted into, whereas others have been about 1mm or so wider.I am thinking about sleeving my cards. Would you mind letting me know what sleeves you use?Unlike the Mayday ones i bought, these allow easier shuffling, so Mayday are used for Randomizers, Horizontals, and other card-like objects.
Remove Desperation.
Add Shelters and Way of the Mouse as Farmer's Market.
In a 4 player game, first three players play their Necropolis as Farmers market.
your turn, hand is:
Necropolis, 1 Copper, 1 Pouch, Cursed Gold, Capital
Play Necropolis as Farmers Market for +4
+ 11 from treasures
+1 from Coffers gets you to 16 and Double Province.
Up until now no card shaped thing has the same name as its expanion and the card Menagerie is from Cornucopia. I doubt Allies will show up in Allies.
Allies is the 14th expansion to Dominion. It has 400 cards, with 31 new Kingdom card piles. There are Allies that will do Favors for you, and split piles you can rotate.Functionality blurb: "This is the 13th expansion to Dominion. It has 400 cards, with 30 new Kingdom cards. There are Horses that save a draw for later, Exile mats that cards can be sent to and rescued from, and Ways that give Actions another option. Events return."
36 days until projected release date!As is tradition, 36 days for me to figure out storage for this next set.
(I always like using square numbers as my markings for time -- as we get closer to the date, they come more frequently)
You figure it out in advance? That's probably smart. I just keep it in the original box until I can figure something out, which I inevitably don't get around to until months later. At least this time I managed to get around to Rennaissance storage a decent amount of time before the new one came out -- I think I didn't get around to Nocturne storage until about a week before Rennaissance.
Sorry for the made up percentages, they're just a means to express my idea, I have absolutely no idea if they would be even close to correct.
I'll be the one to end the joke!
Serious confession: I buy Treasure Map far more often than I would like to admit, despite fully understanding that without Alms or a good sifter there are typically better things I could be spending my $4 on...
