My bad.  I'm actually really interested in these cards.  I wonder how often it would be worthwhile to go for them in games, and how often they'd be ignorable.  At least with how they are now, I feel like they would almost always be a good idea to buy the first time you hit $9.  So maybe a little too strong?

Do you think you'd buy them over platinum most of the time?

It is very infinite if you have Overlord, Crown, Lurker, Mandarin, Raze and Watchtower in the kingdom.

I agree that you can get a whole lotta points.  But we must have different definitions of infinite.  That would mean it's not bound by anything at all. At least that's what it means to me.

Also, King would get crazy with cornucopia things.  Fairgrounds, Menagerie, HOP, Etc.  Also Black Market. You can just buy all kinds of action cards and almost never run out of actions as long as you have a couple cantrips tossed in there. 
Sounds like fun though.  I don't completely hate these ideas.

Eh, not so much.  By the time you buy this super expensive card, and play it, people will be buying provinces.  Then add on top of that the province trashing, and the game won't last much longer.  Not very infinite.

If you like Deck Builders, Star Realms is a fast paced, easy to learn, and cheap to buy option.  Me and my wife love it.  There are also a couple decent expansions if you like it.

Ever since I read that there is a new expansion coming out I've been all tingly....I can't wait!  I'm afraid I'm not paying very much attention to my job right now.....haha

Maybe there will be more events and boons could make the events cost less, since nothing else so far does that.  Although that only works if events are in the game. 

Maybe boons could say something like "while this is in your hand, you may always discard two cards to draw a card" or other such things

Sometimes a kingdom pops up and my heart leaps for joy because I see a certain card.  Sometimes a kingdom pops up and I want to die.  What cards make everyone else feel like this?

I love Merchant guild  <3 It may not always be the best card, but I think it is so much fun. I've foolishly bought it so many times. Castles probably pull in at a close second for me.   

I hate seeing storyteller.  I know lots of people love it, but I feel like it just guarantees a really long and painful game full of 5 minute turns.  I know that it is often an awesome card, but I don't have fun with it.

I agree, having a full game log probably isn't the best thing if we are trying to make it like irl dominion, and I definitely don't like the point counter, but I still think we should have at least two turns in the log, even after possession.

Does Possession mess up the game log for everybody? Whenever I play possession the log starts over from the point I played it, and I can no longer scroll back beyond there.

Trader-Death Cart: Gaining Death Cart + 2 Silver for $4 is a pretty great deal, if it's the type of game where you want Silvers. This may be competitive with fast engines but I've never tried timing it.

Madman's Shanty would be crazy if you can get it to be the last card in your hand.  Too crazy.  +5 cards, +3 actions, +$1 That almost makes me want two torturers to be played against me! Maybe it needs to say that you are limited to one of the rewards.

I think this set could be really fun though.  I think imbalance sounds like a lot of fun if it ends up working.  I also really like fork in the road!

Each Player throws a card as far as they can.  Whoever's card went the farthest is unaffected.  The other players gain a curse.

Ooooo, or a card that says "Trash a card from your hand.  That card goes to your discard pile.  Gain $3"  Turns everything into a psuedo Fortress, and activates all of the fun trashing abilities.

I hope the OP is right! I'd love to see more TfB cards (or whatever term you want to call those cards) and also more cards that give benefits when trashed.  There are so many fun interactions in Dark Ages.  I want more! Most of my favorite cards involve trashing.

Maybe cards that say "when you trash this, each other player gains a curse (or ruins)" or "When this is trashed, each other with 4 or more cards in hand discards a card"

Good point.  I guess that's true.

I've always thought that based on the name, Loan should do something a little bit more like capital does. You'd think you'd get a bunch of money from a loan, but instead it helps you trash money.

I love how thematic beggar is.  I think from the artwork, to the effect, to the set it came in, it is perfect.

Well, I recently got married, and my wife loves games, and she will play dominion with me, but frankly, she isn't as good as me.  She still likes to play, just not that often. She definitely prefers other games.  (Lords of Vegas and Castles of Mad kind ludwig are favorites in our house)

As for why my friends lost interest, I think they just got tired of it.  They didn't quite get how cool this game can be. 

I have tried adding new cards to my collection, but Lots of the guys I have played with don't like adding complexity to the game, so they don't love learning the new ones.  One of them still insists that buying golds is always the best idea   

I like that idea of having a tournament night.  That sounds great.  Thanks
